Epilogue

Nandani woke up the next morning all wrapped up in Manik's arms. Last evening felt like a dream as she relived it in her head again and again. She lay there in his arms looking at him thinking about all those times from the last 11 years when she used to admire him from afar and now, she was finally in his arms.

She soon heard her stomach grumbling and she remembered that they slept early without having dinner. She softly pulled out herself from Manik's grip and kept a pillow in her place. She went to the washroom and after her morning business, she went straight to the kitchen and made some sandwiches with tea and coffee. She went back to her room and saw it was 5:30 am. She first thought to wait for Manik to wake up but then shrugged it off and tried waking him up,

Nandani: Manik? MANIK!

Manik squirmed a little and opened his eyes to see Nandani. He kept looking at her for a few minutes and then said,

Manik: Was it all real??

Nandani looked at him confused and asked,

Nandani: What was real?

Manik: Yesterday? NOW?

Nandani smiled at his question and went towards him and kissed him softly making him close his eyes. Nandani quickly pulled back after kissing him and Manik scrunched his face making a face. Nandani smiled at him and then said,

Nandani: It was all true Mr. Malhotra now tell me one thing do you want to eat something? I mean we slept without having dinner!

Manik nodded his head and said,

Manik: I am actually very hungry.

Nandani: Okay go freshen up and I made some sandwiches with coffee. Just come to the balcony, okay?

Manik nodded with a smile and went to freshen up while Nandani kept all the stuff on the table on the balcony. Manik soon joined her and they both had sandwiches and coffee in silence. After finishing it they were sitting there with Nandani's head on his chest and Manik's arms around her when Nandani said,

Nandani: Should we tell everyone about us?

Manik: You want to tell them? I am okay if you want to wait.

Nandani: I want to tell them, please.

Manik nodded looking at her and they planned to call all their friends over at Nandani's and tell them. Manik soon left after getting ready for home as he had to go to the hospital. While Nandani sat there looking at the rings in her hands and then got busy cleaning the house. It was Friday today which meant a weekend was coming and then work from Monday. The entire month and a half just flew by after she came back to Delhi from Mumbai and still, it feels so slow as if it's been years.

She cleaned the place and was about to go change for her workout when Manik called her. Nandani was wearing her clothes so she answered the call and put on the speaker,

Nandani: HEY!

Manik: HI

Nandani: You left for the hospital?

Manik: Yeah, just left! Everyone at home ate my head! Why did you go to meet Nandani? Why did you sleep there? Why are you not having breakfast? Uff!

Nandani giggled a little making Manik smile as he asked,

Manik: You tell me what are you doing?

Nandani: I cleaned the entire house and I am just getting ready to go to the gym. Will go there and then finish my book and come back home!
