Chapter 24

Nandani met Sanket's parents who were very happy to have her back after a long chat Sanket's mother excused herself and left them to be. Nandani roamed around the house and then came to Sanket's room where she saw there was a huge collage of Sanket's and her pictures. Nandani looked at Sanket and then said,

Nandani: I want a room in my house where I can put these pictures with everyone.

Sanket smiled at her when he heard Nandani speak again,

Nandani: By the way, whenever your wife or fiancé comes, she will be very jealous of me!

Sanket kept his arm around her shoulder and said leaning to her height,

Sanket: If she cannot accept you in our relationship or my life then she is not fit for me!

Nandani: What nonsense are you saying yrr? What if you are in love with her?

Sanket (shrugging): If she doesn't accept you! It will be easy to unlove her!

Nandani gave him a disbelief look and then looked back at their pictures when she heard Sanket,

Sanket: What are your thoughts on love now?

Nandani (muttered lost somewhere): Manik!

Sanket: huh?

Nandani (snapping out): Huh?

Sanket gave her a look and then looked back at the frame. After a few minutes, they were disturbed by a ping on Sanket's phone. He took it to find a message in the group asking about Sanket and Nandani's plans for coming to which Sanket replied positively.

The duo then heads out to have lunch with Sanket's parents after which they both left for Manik's house. Nandani on the way informed her mother about it. After reaching there and greeting Manik-Mukti and Alya-Cabir's parents the group went upstairs to their rooms. They all sat there talking for a long time after which they had dinner and went back home.

Nandani came back home to a well... serious discussion. She poked her mother and asked her about the same, to which she replied that one of Nandani's cousins left the wedding because he was not respected by everyone. Nandani sighed and sat there in the discussion but left once she found nothing interesting about it.

She went upstairs and took a bath after which she went to her room and took her phone...

Which she forgot existed until now.

She switched it on to find notifications pouring into her accounts and WhatsApp. She saw many of her school friends and seniors messaged her and asked about her sudden disappearance. They were also pictures of her friends from the wedding ceremonies. She surfed through the pictures and found some cute pictures which she posted on her Instagram.

She posted the picture and soon comments started coming in from her friends. She talked to them for some time and was about to sleep when her phone pinged again. She sighed and picked it up to see a message from Manik. She frowned at this as the entire day when she was with him, he didn't talk to her except for the small 'hi' he said when she entered. Nandani opened the message to see,

MANIK: You coming tomorrow morning?

NANDANI: nope!

NANDANI: Tomorrow is the wedding!

NANDANI: Why what happened?

MANIK: Nothing! See you there!

Nandani kept looking at the small chat and then looked at his DP. She sighed and kept looking after which she slept.
