The water is calling my name
Its pounding against the shore to raise and fall again
Screaming my name telling me to get past the fear of the depth of it all
But to come in and enjoy the water on your skin
To feel it wrap you in a warm embrace ready to have you go the extra mile to set the pace
The waves crashing against the shore
Yelling in excruciating pain
It is always hard to say good-bye when there is no one that is set to stay by your side
These waves roaring in pain
Always looking for a way to make you stay
The wind that will stroke the face telling you it's okay to stay
These are the roaring waves that seem to save the day
The ones that envelope me until there is no space
The one that suffocates me with every breathe I take
Choking on the thought of water filling my veins
Drowning in the thoughts of what could have been
Thinking about the water that is now deep within
The depth that drags me down into a dark abyss
These are the waves hat greet me as more than a friend
These are the warm embraces we seek when we are kids
These are the soft kisses that leave gentle marks on the skin
This is the water that makes you more than a friend
But a part of the ocean that is screaming within
A place where there are infinite ways to live a life of peace
A way to finally become the creature that grasps others by a whim
The roaring waves are the waters that live within
