Dreams are moments of freedom
Nightmares are a dungeon in the mind
While these worlds never see eye to eye
They always stand side by side
Worlds that never collide
But always seem to be on everyone's mind
Dreams are sweet reality's that are tainted with fantasy
Always giving a person ease to see this scene until the end
A cinema that constantly plays in one's head
A never-ending symphony of possibilities
No what if's wander near these sweet fabrications
Although these are soon to be publications
Headlines one after the other
Someone following their dream and making it a reality
To show that these fantasies can be sweet
There is also a saying
There is too much of a good thing
Too much happiness that bleeds
Not enough tragedy
How do they escape a perfect reality if there is no agony?
Pain is what helps us grow
Although it destroyed us and sticks to the bones
Nightmares are to help balance these fairy tale endings
To wake up to the freighting reality
Without fear you will never grow
Limited to the experience of a never dulling sun
Constant happiness is impossible to come by
Which is why sadness finds refuge in the cracks of hope
It is what balances a person and keeps us whole
No pain means no lessons
Which is no agony
But a pity all on its own
It is okay to feel broken but to never give in
That's when nightmares will cast you in
To make cruel fates seem real
Staring face to face with the who you once were
Now drowning in expectations of what could have been
Nightmare are meant to humble the soul
Although frightening it shows what happens when an ego is to show
When greed finally hits
To wallow in self-pity like you roll in mud as a kid
Painting your own demise this is all written as it is
Nightmares show personal growth but also what is buried deep in the mind
What kindness hides in a prison so divine
Dreams and nightmares go hand and hand
There is no way to end it there
Just to accept the fact for what it is
Dreams show you what you could be
Nightmares show you the uncensored reality
