What could be said about the person perceive us to be?

I guess it can be said others will always try to paint who we are supposed to be

Through the perceptions they have off first glance

When someone wants to choose who you will be is considered an identity

It is impossible to be who we set out to be when someone's else gives us an identity

This is a predicament that can be fixed

You can right the wrongs of the past

But it's the matter of doing it while there is still time

Identity can be a complicated thing indeed

Many people will judge you based on the way you are perceived

If not, they will stare at you sideways to figure out what it means

A way to define ourselves

A way to prove our worth

To be able to be different than the rest

To push the boundaries of this suffocating society

To be one of a kind

The rarest card in the deck

How can we change an already destined fate that was made by someone else?

There is a way but it's one that brings pain

One that will leave you excluded from the rest

Isolate yourself from all the things that cause distress

Things that cloud you vision

It will be painful

And it won't be easy

Many will love you many will hate you

But the people that "pay no mind" are the ones watching from a far

Wondering how you were able to change who you are

Change the state others have put you in

To find your true identity

And chase the dreams you always wanted to reach

This is what it takes to make your own identity
