The adrenaline that captivates the flesh with each step
Reminding us of the life that we live
The heart racing wanting to find a way to escape
Pounding against the walls of our chest
Desperately at us to keep moving forward
To push through the pain that fills our veins
Push through the violent winds that hit our face
The same wind the muddles the screams of the one that initiated the chase
The chase is becoming an unbearable case that is putting lives at stake
Running until there is no more strength
Feeling the limbs give out without a thought about the high price we will pay
Our mind taking over this forsaken task
To keep the host alive to tell the story of their life
This chase will come to an end
But only if we are able to make amends
Not only with the people that have caused us pain
But to forgive ourselves for the mistakes that were made
For making us go through a chase will always change
A chase that will dictate the way we play this game
It is finally time to face the person that has brought us here
And make it clear that we are not theirs to steer
