224. Black Clover: N/A ~ Lost Princess Pt. 1

I held Asta in my arms as he cried, I was three years older than him and he & Yuno were both currently a few months old. Father had found me in the woods a few months ago. I was badly injured and scarred up, so I kept my body fully covered at all times; even when it was hot outside. Yuno didn't cry much, Asta was the more emotional one. There were times where I worried about Yuno since he never reacted to anything. The day he found me, was when I had gained my memories from my previous life, or maybe I took over this young girls body. It was hard to believe that 'I' could survive this many injuries.

~Skip Twelve Years~

I looked at the Grimoire that appeared before me, it was a decent size. I flipped through the pages and frowned as they were all blank, with the exception of the last page. I closed my grimoire and left the library, heading back to the church. I told Father not to come and focus on taking care of the children. He had a lot on his plate and I didn't want him to worry about coming with all of the children. Especially Asta who was full of energy.

"So?! Can we see?!" Asta shouted, he was waiting outside with Yuno, Father, Lily and the other children.

I smiled softly and pulled out my grimoire, showing them. Father patted my shoulder and offered his congratulations. Asta asked if I was going to join the Magic Knights with sparkling eyes. I shrugged my shoulders, I wasn't sure if I should or not. I tugged my hood down,

"You don't have to, you could become a nun." Lily smiled, as she held her arms out for a hug.

I went over and hugged her, I closed my eyes as I sought her comfort. Maybe I should...then I could send them money as thanks, but...I don't really want to get involved in what's to come.

I had ended up joining the magic knights, only one of them had raised their hands and I wasn't surprised to see that it was Fuegoleon since I used flame magic. I was a bit disappointed that I wouldn't be able to join the same squad that Yuno & Asta would eventually join but I was in a squad.

I was there for three months before I started getting bullied by the others in my squad, it was hard at first; but I got used to the pain. And since I always had my body covered -except the right side of my face - nobody would be able to see the bruises. That was probably why they chose me instead of the other newbies. And the fact that I couldn't talk.

It's been two years since I joined the Crimson Lion, I was showing the new recruits around. Including Leopold, which is probably why Fuegoleon was waiting for us at the training grounds. Everyone from the squad was here as well, I was confused at first before remembering that he wanted to show everyone that he didn't choose his brother to join because they're family. He then asked who would volunteer to fight his little brother. Might as well. I raised my hand,

"Let's do this!!" Leopold shouted as he ran forward and to the middle of the training grounds.

I smiled a little, but went back to a neutral expression. I went to stand opposite of him, I glanced at where Fuegoleon was, Randall was beside him. Why is everyone so interested in seeing what he can do? I studied Leopold, as he looked right at me with his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. He then looked at Fuegoleon, who shouted for us to start. I opened my grimoire, as I raised my fist. I punched the air, sending a blast of flames his way.

I kneeled as I panted, holding my side in pain. I lost. I held my arms up in surrender, grimacing at the pain. I'm definitely going to get picked on for loosing to someone two years younger than me. Leopold held his hand out to me and helped me up.

"You were amazing!!" he shouted cheerfully,

I gave him a nod as a thank you, but I'm sure everyone was going to take that as me agreeing with him and being cocky.

"You're welcome!" he grinned brightly.

I resumed with showing all of newbies around, before heading back to my room.

It was supposed to be a simple mission to help a small town get rid of bandits, I was the team leader with Leopold and Trixie. Except it ended up being a trap, I was currently badly injured, keeping a protective barrier around Leopold, Trixie & I. Trixie and Leopold were both injured, but they weren't as bad.

"If only we had our brooms. Then we could fly towards the direction the rescue team is coming from." Leopold sighed,

I snapped my fingers, and opened a small hole in the barrier. Why didn't I think of that? The two looked at me with stars in their eyes as my broom came in through the small hole. I closed it up instantly after that,

"They'll be able to catch up if all three of us ride out of it. But if the both of you get on and start heading their way, I can stall them for five minutes. Ten if I push my luck." I told them, holding in my coughs, but blood trickled out of my mouth anyway.

"You're already hurt! Even worse than us, I can stall for time -!" Leopold started,

"I'm your senior. Plus, your brother would be mad if you died here." I smiled weakly at him.

"Who say's I'll die?" he smirked,

But I could see the fear in his eyes, I forced myself to my feet and I pulled him and Trixie into a hug.

"Neither of you will die. Not if I can do anything about it...next year, there's going to be two boys who will try out for the Magic Knight Exam, their name's are Asta and Yuno. Tell them I love them, and will be watching from above." I said, as I released them.

"We will." Trixie nodded, as tears slipped from her eyes.

The two got on my broom and as soon as they got in the air, I dropped the barrier and let out a blast of blue flames. Knocking all of the bandits away from us,

"GO!" I screamed, as they took off as fast as they could.

I focused on the enemy and kept them from taking off after the two kids, but two of them had escaped my reach. Damnit. Please. Please make it to them in time. I let out a gasp of surprise and pain as I was pierced from all sides. I coughed out a bunch of blood as I melted the ice with my blue flames, I didn't have enough energy to hide the color anymore. I dropped to my knees and then to my hands as I spat out more blood.

"Night night, brat." one of the bandits said from above me.

I pushed myself as I got onto my feet, I glared at the man who held a dagger. He went to stab me but he was blasted away by some water. I looked up, Leopold and Trixie were here, along with Fuegoleon Taicho, the three Silva siblings, and the Wizard King. There was also the Spatial user guy who was an advisor or something. What the heck?! Why the hell is the Wizard King and Silva siblings along with - why are they the rescue squad?!

"Damnit! Why the hell are they here?!" one of the bandits shouted,

I relaxed, and dropped to the ground. I could hear my name being called as I lost consiousness.
