268. Black Clover: ??? ~ Unlimited

I was the opposite of the main character. I was overwhelmed with Magic energy, and I had too much. If I didn't expel every hour, I could explode and destroy everything within a hundred-mile radius. I didn't know if I would survive it, and it wouldn't matter if I did. I did not want to be responsible for the death of others.

I read Father's letter to me. He told me about Asta's power and that he could help me, but he didn't tell Asta about me. It was my decision to make, especially since I would need to go to the Capital, a heavily populated area.

I looked out at the woods toward the village where the Father lived. I had met him by chance. He and Lilly would write me letters often so I wouldn't feel lonely or go insane from the isolation. Should I go? - There's no guarantee that he will be able to help me, and it would be pointless to go...it is a significant risk, but...

~Time Skip~

This was a horrible idea! It took me a long time to get to the Capital. It took me a while to decide to come here. Plus, I had to stop and release some magic energy to avoid exploding. I weaved through the crowd, avoiding touching anymore. It was a new year. They were going to announce the places of each Knight Squad.

I had been hoping to find Asta before Yami threw him to the front, but...I was going to have to wait longer. I stood near where Yami, Charolette, and Vanessa were.

"Hey, brat. Where are your parents." Yami said, looking down at me, seemingly annoyed.

I frowned at him. Sure, I use my magic to keep myself looking like a child, but if I didn't, I would have likely burst by now. It took a lot to keep myself this small.

"I may look like a child, but I'm not one! I'm powerful!" I glared up at him,

"Whatever you say, kid," someone nearby chuckled,

"I'll prove it!" I huffed, snapping my fingers as I looked at Charlotte and Vanessa.

A light blue circle formed over both of their heads, and within seconds, they were both sitting up Sober. They both looked confused and everyone around us was staring at me. I smirked triumphantly, but before anyone could say anything, shouting came from the crowd about Asta. Then, the king yells about how the two should be executed because of their comments.

I cringed at what was happening, this scene made me anxious the first time I watched it. Even more so in person. I wish they would hurry this up.

"Hey lady, you're eyes are glowing gold!" a little kid shouted as he tugged at my shirt, his eyes looking up at me in amazement.

"What?" I went pale, and looked around for glass or something to look in a mirror. One appeared floating in front of me.

My eyes were glowing, and my hair was starting to. It was a sign that I was about to explode. Next was going to be chest pains, and I won't be able to move after that.

"Damnit!" I shouted, shoving the mirror away from me, I focused and teleported onto the stage.

But, being so close to the Magic Knight Captains made it worse. My hair grew longer, and started glowing. Everyone was shocked, but I didn't have the time to care about anything. I needed Asta to hit me. I went right for him, but Yuno blasted me back and in between two of the Captains. There were shouts of fear and worry.

"Move." I said, as I walked out of the hole, my injuries healing automatically. The Black Bulls, Yami and Charlotte were on stage and the Wizard King was in front of them. They were all protecting Asta.

"We're not going to let you hurt Asta!" the Black Bulls fire mage shouted, giving me a scary look.

"I'm not trying to hurt him. There's not time to explain! Just move!" I shouted, as my heart started racing.

I didn't want to hurt anyone, and I didn't want to cause a scene. I thought I had more time, that I could have waited until the little seremony was over. I grabbed the clothing over my chest as my heart ached, it felt like it was going to burst. It hurt. I squeezed my eyes shut.

"I'm...sorry..." I cried out weakly.

"Give me some you brat." Fugeleon's sister said, as she grabbed my hand. At the same time she blasted flames into the air.

I looked at her hand, my vision growing blurry. I focused on sending her Magic Energy, she let out a grunt, but squeezed my hand.

"Asta, you need to stab her." the Wizard King ordered,

"Eh?!!?!...Ah!!" Asta shouted,

I clenched my jaw as pain shot through my thigh, but. I didn't feel like my heart was going to burst, and I could tell my hair was slowly going back to normal.

"I've only ever read about Mana Overflow, never thought I would ever see it." the Wizard King said, as he crouched in front of me, after Fugeleon's sister moved away from me.

"Father mentioned in a letter a woman might come see Asta and told me to remind him." Yuno said,

"I use magic to keep my apperance young, it helps a bit to keep from absorbing too much Mana. Around others, I tend to abosorb Mana faster. My body automatically uses mana to heal its self, so you can remove the sword anytime." I said, feeling sleepy.

"Rest, don't worry about exploding in your sleep." the Wizard King smiled, as he put his hand on my head. His words being comforting, I fell asleep.
