Callies POV (again)
We got home, and I took care of Sofia. Arizona sat on the couch almost emotionless, and Sofia snuggled into her when she decided to watch TV. Sofia didn't help much, but at least Arizona spoke. I'm honestly terrified that she will cut again.
"I love you Sofia" she said with such emotion that it seemed like it was the last time she would ever say it.
"I love you too Mama" Sofia replied innocently.
Hours past before Sofia went to bed, but when it was finally time, Arizona snuck into the guest bedroom while I put Sofia to sleep. I didn't notice until I couldn't find her downstairs. When I walked into the bedroom, she ignored me. I laid down in the bed under the covers right next to her, and pulled her close. I slowly stroked her cheek with my thumb for a while before saying "please don't cut again Arizona, okay?" She barely nodded to agree that she wouldn't. I turned off the lamp and got comfortable to go to bed. I definitely wasn't going to try to get her to move to the master bedroom. She's too fragile right now.
"I love you Arizona" I said as a goodnight. She didn't respond, but she turned to face me and willingly fell asleep in my arms.
