Y/N's POV:
I rushed down the stairs trying to get to school quickly knowing I'm running late. I was wearing (insert what you want to wear). I ran outside and looked back waving to mom and toucannon as I ran off. I ran on the road passing a flock of drumbeak, a lone alolan Persian and even a group of Pichu on the side of the path. I kept running as I frantically tried to see if I had zoroark's poke ball in my pocket. I huffed in the middle of the path realizing I was so close and I took a breath and kept running to the not so far away building. I got there running up the steps and Kiawe said "alola! Y/N! Your running late" I looked at the rest of the class who said "alola" and I said "yeah! About that." . "Turta..." turtonator grumbled and I grabbed a poke ball out of my pocket. "Zoroark! Come join us!" I said throwing the poke ball letting zoroark out as He growled. I smiled and slouched in my seat as kukui walked in saying "alola class! Today will be all about battling and learning about your Pokémon's battle habits!" The Pokémon in the back roared in excitement.
We went down the steps to a battle arena, I was put on the battle field with sophocle and togedemaru. "Remember class! Your Pokémon will guide you in the battle from today's lesson!" Kukui said before calling start "zoroark! Use illusion" zoroark did just that and turned into a ribombee for swift movements. Togedemaru used zingzap, "careful zoroark! She has electricity!" I yelled but it was too late. Zoroark still being a rimbombee was now tackled by togedemaru. Zoroark looked at me and buzzed, I nodded remembering today's lesson and I said "use hone claws! Then use night slash!" In a blink of an eye zoroark was buffed by one attack level and togedemaru was on the ground. "Togedemaru! Use spiky shield!" Sophocles called out and zoroark tried slashing multiple times but couldn't break through the move. I was sweating and then zoroark just stood there without a move, I was confused but then I realized that spiky shield doesn't last forever. "Keep it up togedemaru!" Sophocles called and the shield went down. I then called "now zoroark! Use a series of night slash" it did just out and kukui ran over and said "togedemaru is unable to battle! Y/N wins!" My classmates started cheering along with Sophocles.
"That was a great battle!" Lillie said and zoroark smiled. Kukui ran over and said "zoroark really knows how to battle!" I smiled and Sophocles said "we have a lot more training to do togedemaru until we're able to beat a zoroark! What do you say?" Togedemaru started to nuzzle Sophocles intensely and we started laughing. "Next up Lana vs Kiawe!" Kukui said and Kiawe frowned at the disadvantage then said "come out Marowak!". I laughed at how Marowak immediately went onto the battlefield. "Okay popplio! You ready?" Lana said bending down as popplio got a battle face on. "Start!" Kukui said and it was on. There were multiple hits back and forth although Marowak was getting critical hits, something weird happened when Kiawe used inferno overdrive and Lana used hydro vortex. Lana came out victorious as Marowak fell down. "Popplio we did it!" Lana said hugging popplio and I ran over and hugged Lana and said "you did great!" Lana thanked me and then Kiawe said "Marowak! You just lost a battle why are you trying to battle again!". I laughed and Marowak went into his poke ball.
It was the end of the day and we were going home. Lillie invited us all over and I told my mom and headed off. Lillie invited us in with hopps and as soon as I got in I saw lillies big brother gladion, a well known trainer. I waved before trying to find zoroarks poke ball. "Guys! Have you seen my poke ball!?" I said and Lillie ran over saying "you lost it?!? Zoroark is in there!" The gang rushed over and I kept looking around. "I've been with zoroark since it was a baby zorua! I can't lose him!" I said checking my bag, gladion walked over and said "isn't it that one?" Pointing to my bag, I had a spare great ball in it and I shook my head no. An hour has passed and zoroark was still not found. Hopps also tried to look but it was no where to be found. I looked in my bag once more and I found it inside of a cracked open text book. "Found it! I also found this weird text book! But I'll check it out tomorrow!" I said before sighing of relief.
