Chapter 7

Grand trials on akala!

Continuation to chapter 6

Y/N's POV:

The Pokémon school was taking a trip to akala which I wasn't very excited to do the grand trial all over again. But Olivia seemed excited, so I tried to get into the mood too. I walked off the boat as mimikyu then triggered shadow ball "mimikyu! Hey!" I said while picking up mimikyu. "What's up with mimikyu?" Kiawe asked and Olivia looked at it too, "maybe because of the volcano?" I said and Olivia began to talk "mimikyu's don't really like extensive heat which makes them act up! There you learned something!". Olivia walked off but then fell and went to laughing as her lycanrock sat there confused, Lana said "what a strange kahuna.". We all went to do a stoutland kind of scavenger hunt. My stoutland was very eager and very happy. When we went off I went in a direction which led me to this weird gemstone. I looked at it and kommo-o picked it up and handed it to me. Golisopod nudged it and zoroark just stared blankly "stoutland." The stoutland grumbled and I picked it up anyways before we headed back. Olivia looked at mine and said "a nice gemstone that people like me would die to have! 50 points!"

She went through the points and Sophocles had 20 Lana:40 Kiawe:50 mallow:10 and Lillie had 0. I got back onto stoutland and the rest of my Pokémon followed. Kommo-o ran off as it looked as though it was drawn to something. I looked off to the side and kommo-o was there digging. I picked a shiny stone up and headed back as Olivia called "another gemstone! 100 points!" Olivia said and Sophocles now had 150 Kiawe:120 mallow:60 lana: 70 and Lillie had 50. "Sophocles wins!" Olivia called and Sophocles was handed a tiny rock from wella volcano. I was confused as to why Sophocles was excited but I erased the thought. I looked at my team and then I picked up mimikyu as we walked off to the beds. I slept in the women's room despite not identifying as a women nor a man, I just wanted to be with them to exchange talks. Lillie said "I'm tired! Hey Y/N! I have a question! So you have some big Pokémon like golisopod being the tallest! How do you fit them in?" I smiled and said "I have high ceilings!".

(A few days later)

A few days had passed and we were having fun all over the island. Me and Sophocles were walking in the woods to find food for everyone until we came across the biggest lurantis I had ever seen. "ACK!" Sophocles yelled as togedemaru and vikavolt were hit and seriously injured. "Sophocles! Don't worry!" I said and I grabbed a poke ball and said "golisopod! Come join us!" The lurantis used a move called leaf blade which knocked golisopod out. I could tell it was going to be a hard battle "golisopod! Use first impression!" I called and golisopod poisoned lurantis. First impression was a go to move in any of my fights. Lurantis then used a move called dual chop which knocked golisopod back. It was a tough battle considering lurantis did loads of damage to water types. "Golisopod! Use iron Defense!" I called and then I saw a small Pokémon called castform. It turned the sky grey as it started to rain and it really threw of my vision. "Hang in there Sophocles! Golisopod! Use liquidation!" I called but it didnt do much although the poison took a big hit which finally knocked out lurantis.

I high fived golisopod as the lurantis turned back to normal. "Olivia?!?" I said while Olivia smiled "your second totem Pokémon!" Sophocles laughed and said "hah! We fooled you!" Sophocles acted all smug. "You may have your grand trial Y/N!" Olivia said and we all walked to where my classmates were. "Island kahuna Olivia vs island challenger
Y/N!" Kukui said and he then called "choose your Pokémon!" Olivia went first and said "probopass! Lend me your strength! Lycanrock! Come out!" I looked at the two realizing Olivia chose two strong Pokémon. "Double battle Eh? Zoroark! Aid me! Golisopod! Join the fight!" I called and Kukui yelled "start!". I had the first move and called "golisopod! Use first impression! Zoroark! Follow it up with night slash on probopass!" Olivia smiled and called "probopass! Use tri attack!". My zoroark was hit with the minis and was now hurt. "Golisopod! Use liquidation on lycanrock and protect zoroark!" I called and Golisopod did just that and before Olivia called a move lycanrock was already hit. I looked at zoroark and called "zoroark! Use bitter malice on probopass!" Probopass was frozen in place and I called "this is our chance! Golisopod use a series of liquidation!" And that was it for probopass.Olivia returned probopass and quickly turned her z ring and did a series of poses. "Lycanrock! Use continental crush!" I quickly acted and used a series of poses again and said "zoroark! Use black hole eclipse!" I was hoping it would suck up the rock and it did leaving lycanrock so worn out it was unable to battle.
