Hapu really has her moments!

Continuation of chapter 17

Y/N's POV:

Me and the gang walked on poni island seeing many markets and many sea folk. There was a magazine on the new island kahuna hapu. She was only 11 but still very strong. Mallow was at the markets buying every food sample she could for her family restaurant. I laughed at how she sped through all the stands ending with a couple pony radish in her hands. "That was great!" Mallow said as she put some pony radish in her travelling bag. Kommo-o and poipole were walking with me and kommo-o lashed his tail at the sight of a golurk. I looked at its sheer size as poipole flew around it laughing while putting paint on it, golurk tried to capture it but failed many times at how fast poipole can be at times when excited. I heard the loud footsteps of a mudsdale and saw a young girl hop off as she said "hey! Y- you Pokémon! Don't do that!" By the tone I then realized it was island kahuna hapu and I said "poipole! You know you shouldn't paint on other Pokémon." Poipole sank while saying "poi..." as I crossed my arms as hapu frowned intently.

"So island kahuna hapu? Are you taking grand trials?" I asked and hapu widened her eyes saying "am I? Im an island kahuna! It's my job!" I put my finger up but quickly put it down squinting my eyes. The golurk crossed its arms as Sophocles looked at it "alola kahuna hapu! We're here to do the last gran trial!" Rotom said as hapu looked displeased. "Fine." Hapu said and I smiled and Lana said "it should be easy right?" Hapu smirked and said "follow me." And we walked off. I then squinted at what hapu called a battle field, I was confused and I said "where? That's all ocean!" Hapu frowned and said "oh come on! Look at it! When the tide goes down you'll see!" I was quite afraid of hapu about how she could get so angry. The tide went down revealing an old battle arena that had stairs leading down, "our guardian is tapu-fini! Of course it has something to do with water!" Hapu said walking down onto the platform. I walked down with the rest of my friends as waves then crashed onto The ridges of pony island making a it all return to sea.

"Mudsdale! Aid me!" Hapu called bringing out her mudsdale. I had to pick the right Pokémon for it because we were surrounded by water "kommo-o! Join the fight!" I called as
Kommo-o roared upon appearance. Hapu smiled and said "mudsdale! Use double kick!" I acted quickly and said "dodge it!" And
Kommo-o whipped around making mudsdale deal damage bumping into a pillar. "Kommo-o! Use dragon claw!" I called and it dealt damage to mudsdale as it was trying to recover front the impact "mudsdale! Use high horsepower!" Hapu called and kommo-o was knocked to the ground. "Kommo-o! Use dragon dance!" I said and Hapu called "mudsdale! Use superpower!" It was a good yet bad move considering your attack was lowered. "Kommo-o! Use noble roar!" I called and kommo-o did just that. I decided to grab my dragonium z as I did a series of poses and then said "kommo-o! Use devastating drake!" Kommo-o whipped itself around and before Hapu could react mudsdale was hit. Mudsdale hasn't fainted which surprised me, but if I got in one more powerful hit then I would be the winner of this gran trial battle.

"Good job mudsdale! Use heavy slam!" Hapu called and kommo-o was now on the ground struggling to get up. I then called "kommo-o! Stay strong! Get yourself behind mudsdale and use a series of dragon claw!" Hapu gasped as mudsdale then fainted after being hit with extremely strong attacks. "You did it! We won!" I called hugging kommo-o as Mimikyu raced down the steps and joined in. Hapu then pulled a box out and said "choose. Your last grand trial was wonderful." I looked around and noticed a ghost type z crystal at the edge for Mimikyu. "Hey mimikyu! Your a ghost and fairy type! I'll get a ghost z crystal please." I said as Hapu pulled it out and gave it to me. Mimikyu screeched in excitement as me and Hapu made our way up the steps before the tide came in. Before we reached land a Pokémon appeared infront of me and said "tapu-fini..." I looked at it astonished and said "tapu fini!" And within a blink of an eye it was gone. Hapu was just as astonished as I was but we both shook it off as we made our way up to the rest of the gang.
