SURPRISE

"We're friends..."

Evander gasped that he even covered his mouth. Napakamot naman ako sa noo bago umiwas ng tingin sa kanya.

He's a good boy , alright? He can understand my attitude, though. Nasasabayan niya ako sa halos lahat ng trip ko. We also talk a lot at school. Have lunch together and review in the library. He's funny din naman.

"Really? Finally!" Tuminis ang boses niya kaya halos mapapikit ako.

And one thing, he's a gay.

"Yes, so shut up now.." Sabi ko bago kumagat sa sandwich na hawak.

He grinned. "Gaga ka, pakipot ka pa. Gusto mo din pala akong kaibiganin..."

Ngumisi ako. "Makulit ka, kaya pinagbigyan kita..."

Lumawak ang ngisi sa labi niya. "Oh? You can't lie to me now..." Lumapit siya ng kaunti at bumulong sa tenga ko. "What about Avonlea? She has been so persistent to be friends with you..."

Natigilan ako saglit bago umiling sa kanya. That woman is a different topic. Tsaka hindi ko ganon kagusto ang vibe niya. Well, we're classmates. 'Yon lang siguro ay sapat na sa akin.

"Let's not talk about that one..." Sabi ko nalang.

Nag ngising aso si Evan bago umayos ng upo. Nagpatuloy kami sa pagkain ng lunch at dumiretso sa library nang matapos. We were there for almost an hour. Ganito lang kami lagi, wala din namang masyadong activity kasi ang course ko. Puro surprise quiz, exam, and recitation. Puro pa individual grading ang lahat ng 'yon, kaya hanggat maaari kailangan ay basa ako ng basa.

"I will choose a representatives to represent our school to Law student's Debate competition..." Ani Attorney Angelo.

He's my favorite professor, sa pagkakaalam ko pa ay isa din siyang ganap na attorney. Aside from being hot and handsome. Attorney Angelo is also smart, and a monster in term of his teaching skills, I bet inside of the court too. Kaya halos lahat ng students niya ay ginaganahang mag-aral.

"Attorney, competition po agad?" Tanong ng isa sa mga classmates ko.

Umiling dito si Attorney Angelo. "No. Okay listen, this will be the process..."

"First, we will select four students in this school and send them to the first meet. At the first meeting, the majority will choose a representatives for the Law Students Debate Competition. Of the four taken, only one will be chosen. Ang first round ng debate sa first meet ay ang magiging pinaka basehan."

"Whoever win will be the representative of each Law schools and Universities for the LSDC."

"Naiintindihan niyo ba?" Inilibot niya ang tingin sa buong klase.

Kalmado akong tumango. Lalo na nang dumapo ang tingin niya sakin, he also looked at Evander, and another man I didn't know. Now, I know what will happen next.

Nang magkaroon kami ng vacant time ay nagpunta agad ako sa restroom. I just peed and washed my hands afterwards. Inilabas ko din ang aking cellphone para ipaalam sa susundo sakin na mahuhuli ako ng uwi mamaya.

Me:

Hey, male-late ako ng labas mamaya. Don't bother to pick me up, I will inform Phoenix.

After a minute of waiting he finally replied. Free time din siguro nito ngayon.

Maddieson🤢:

Don't worry, I can wait.

Napairap ako. He has been fetching me for almost a week now. We also started to be text mates. Ilang beses ko na siyang sinabihan na huwag na akong sunduin kasi nga baka pagod din siya galing klase, pero ang tigas talaga ng ulo nito, eh. Wala din naman akong magawa para pigilan siya.
