EXPLANATION

I dropped my body on the soft canvas of the boxing ring here in our training room inside my house. Mabigat ang aking paghinga at tagaktak ang aking pawis.

"Water break..." Phoenix clapped his hands two times.

"May I remind you Nix, I am your little sister! Why the hell you hit so hard!" I groaned as I held my left arm.

Sigurado akong magpapasa nanaman ito.

My older brother stood beside me as he looked down at me and placed both of his hands on his knees. Nagsalubong ang mga kilay niya.

"You punched my chest, my stomach and even kicked my groin... very hard, princess." Aniya na pinapaalala ang ginawa ko sa kanya kanina.

I snorted bago gumulong padapa at tinukod ang dalawang kamay para tuluyang makatayo. I opened the bottle water and drink it, inabutan naman ako ng towel ni Nix.

"Don't you have work today?" He asked.

I wiped my mouth before I answered. "I have. Isa sa tanghali, meeting lang sa M-SPC then the rest are about the case we're solving..."

"Be careful, alright? Stay alert and attentive. Hindi pa din tayo pwedeng mapanatag." My brother jaw clenched.

"Don't worry, alam ko lahat ng mga ginagawa ko." I grinned.

Madalas na tahimik ang pamilya namin, not minding other people's business. Pero ang hindi alam ng nakakarami ay madami na kaming inihahandang surpresa.

"What's your plan?" Sumeryoso ang kapatid ko.

"Don't act like you don't have a plan of your own, kuya." Inilingan ko ang aking kapatid.

I know my brother, he's smarter than me. Remember? Nagtagumpay siyang hindi ipaalam sakin na siya ang nakakatanda kong kapatid. Without clues. Except nalang doon sa part na nagdududa na ako.

And I know he already knows na nakakatunog na ako kaya unti-unti na din siyang umaakto sa paraang gusto niya talaga.

"Okay, sabihin nalang natin na ngayon ay kakampi niya ako..." I thrilled.

Tumuwid ng pagkakatayo si Phoenix.

"At ano ba ang karaniwang ugali ng mga kakampi? They are damn loyal, right?" I shrugged nonchalantly.

"How sure are you na that person won't suspect you?" His brows furrowed.

I looked at him and slowly stretch my lips for a wicked smile, I tilted my head to the other side.

"Act fool..."

PINAGSIKLOP ko ang aking mga kamay habang nakikinig sa head ng Architecture department mula sa company ni Darius. She presents the new project of M-DCC and M-SPC with her partner Engineer.

Kumpleto kami sa loob ng conference room sa kumpanya ni Maddieson, all the heads of each department are here. Also the CEO of M-DCC. 

"This is the final design of the hotel and resort which will be built in Ilocos. The materials to be used are a mixture of wood, glass and stone..."

Ilocos... I didn't think I would be able to visit that place again in no time.

I saw Maddieson nod. He's sitting beside me, playing with his ballpen while leaning against the backrest of his swivel chair. Ang suot niyang dark gray na suit ay hapit sa kanyang katawan, maayos ang buhok at... seryoso nanaman ang mga mata. Para bang may ikinagagalit ngayon na hindi niya maiboses.

I averted my gaze from him. Umayos ako ng upo at lumipat ang tingin sa babaeng kaharap. Crysel looked directly at me. I raised a brow, she looked away.
