It was a nice evening, the water was calm, the breeze was washing through their faces, their arms locked around each other as they kicked the sand off their feet.

"Isn't it funny that we're here all alone with not a single fight or argue?" She chuckled as she rested her head just below his shoulder.

He then laughed heartily and shook his head, "Nakakapanibago ba?" He asked, genuinely. She shook her head no and looked at him, "We were like this naman talaga, ah? I just don't know what happened..." She sighed.

"That's life, you know..." He pressed his lips together and his mouth formed a straight line. "Why don't we give love another try, Ai?" They walked around the shore.

"Aren't we doing that?" She looked at their feet as it got dug into the sand as they take their steps.

Greggy took a deep breathe, "I mean... Try to be husband and wife again..." He exhaled, "To be the persons we vowed to be on our wedding..." He added.

Irene had a small smile on her face, "Hmm... That sounds nice..." She agreed. "Also... Let our reason be for us... Not for the kids... Kasi, palagi na natin yang rason na ibabalik natin ang dati para sa kanila..." She continued on.

"I'd like that..." He smiled as he looked down on her. "I do too." She smiled at him.

"Do you remember why we called each other Ai?" She asked him while they went back on the track to the beach in front of their cabin.

He tilted his head and smiled on the memory, "Hmm... It was when we were eating at a Japanese restaurant..." He chuckled.

She nodded and smiled, "Yep! And then we were just... I don't know... 5 months into the relationship?" She looked at him and he nodded.

"Somewhat... yeah..." He agreed. "Kasi nga you didn't want babe kasi, for you it's baduy. Pag baby naman, hindi mo rin gusto for whatever reason. Then pag love, you didn't want it because other couples use it too much." He listed.

A slap then was given by Irene to Greggy's arm, "You didn't have to say that you know..." She rolled her eyes playfully.

"It was Ai because we heard it sa elderly Japanese couple noon diba? Yung nasa likod natin na table?" He looked at her. "Mhmm..." She nodded.

"Natatandaan ko pa nun na, you overhead their conversation tapos they called each other Ai." He chuckled on the years of memory together, "You said na, you wanted it to be Ai kasi nakita mo yung matatanda na mahal pa rin nila ang isa't isa even though they've already gotten old..." He smiled.

"Sabi ko ba noon na... If we call each other Ai, aabot rin tayo hanggang sa pagtanda natin..." She smiled.

"And we did naman... Diba?" She rested her chin on the side of his arm as she looked at him. "The marriage just gotten rocky... But... But the love is still there naman diba?" She continued.

"Of course... Alam mo naman na mahal pa rin kita..." He smiled. She only giggled and they went back to their cabin.

"So... Will you go on a date with me?" He stopped dead tracks on the front of the stairs of their cabin. Irene bursted out chuckling at him, "Ano ba yan... Date agad?" She giggled.

He shrugged, "Date Night with my wife..." He said out loud. "Kamiss naman yan..." She jested.

"So?" He waited for her response.

She then nodded and held his hand, "Yes, Mr. Araneta. I would love to go on a date with you."

"Good. 'Cause I won't take no for an answer." He winked at her and they both went inside their cabin. Locking the doors behind them as they don't want unwanted visitors to disrupt their privacy...and peace.
