Third Person
"Uuwi na pala tayo bukas after lunch..." She looked at her watch as she zipped up her dress.
Greggy buckled his belt and fixed his hair, "Mhmm... Back to regular programming na..." He chuckled.
They were getting ready for their dinner date, it was still 4:46 in the afternoon and their reservation was on 7 in the evening. They were getting ready since Irene still had to go to the mini shop of the hotel to buy some things.
Greggy had somewhere else to go and they plan go just meet each other at the restaurant just inside the resort.
"Una na ako, Ai." She kissed his cheek and bid goodbye. Greggy nodded at her, "Ingat ka..."
She was about to walk away but Greggy held her wrist, she turned around and he kissed the back of her hand. "I love you." He whispered.
She smiled, "I love you too."
And then she was out. She walked from their cabin to the main building of the resort where she saw some boutiques for souvenirs. Her eyes wandered to the weaved bags and some other goodies that Issa would've loved.
As an only daughter, people could say how spoiled Issa was in terms of clothes and girly things. Well, she was the only girl between the cousins. When her Kuya Borgy was still new to the fashion industry, she would always get PR boxes of the new lines of his clothing.
Her Mama Imee was also there to spoil her with shopping sprees, to which Irene despised.
She began to put things on the cart, some food delicacies, snacks, cute little wooden souvenirs, the woven circle bag, and just others that she reminded of her children.
Her eyes gazed on her watch to look at the time, 5:38. She went to the counter to paid for the things she bought, she was now handing out her money to the cashier.
The bagger boy then gave her the eco bag and she smiled as she took it from him. She was just putting her purse back, ready to go out.
"Would you look at how we met again?" A voice called from the back. She paid no mind as she assumed it wasn't pertaining to her.
"Hey, Rin." Her eyes widened as her name was called, that sounds familiar? She thought and her head turned to see a suited man with dark brown slicked back hair.
"Ton?" She choked out, "Anthony?" She asked again. He grinned and opened his arms, "Alive and breathing." He chuckled.
He rushed towards him and they shared an embrace, "Oh my gosh? Out of all the places we could've met, dito pa talaga!" She laughed.
"I know right? You've gotten more beautiful since the last time I saw you." He smiled and paused, "And it was what? 10 years ago?" He chuckled.
"God, don't remind me of our age." She shook her head playfully, "Sus. You aged well naman, ah." He complimented.
"So do you!" She complimented back and smiled, "Oh... Do you have some time to spare? Last time we talked I told you I owe you a drink..." He initiated. "Or may pupuntahan ka pa?"
She glances again on her watch, 5:47. "Yeah... I still have time naman... I have dinner kasi this 7..." She informed.
He nodded, "Sure... We have a lot to catch up pa." He smiled, "Ako na..." He held out his arm and asked for permission to hold the bag she was holding.
"Nako, wag na kaya ko naman..." She chuckled at him.
He smirked, "Para ka namang walang pagsamahan, dali na..." She only chuckled and rolled her eyes, "Oh eto na... 'to naman..."
