"How is that possible that they talk so easily?" Bokuto asked, looking at the two people sitting on the floor near him. His voice was just above whisper so no one except Kuroo would hear him. Not that it was easy among all the white noise of conversations echoing in the basement.

"We talk to her easily too." Kuroo answered, but he was glaring at the two as well. They decided to leave Y/N and Semi alone after they saw them talking, but right now both looked like they were having second thoughts.

"I know, but they... ugh, it looks like they are flirting." Bokuto almost groaned but didn't want to make a sound that would draw attention of the girl.

Y/N was laughing, sitting beside Semi who was telling her a story about second years who decided to steal headmaster's car. The plan obviously backfired, but at least the story circled around the campus, retold by students who saw the incident. The girl was just a little bit tipsy, the alcohol doing not more than adding to her already good mood. She was unconsciously leaning towards the blond, one hand supporting her upper body while the other was holding red plastic cup.

Bokuto looked up and down her body, frowning when he saw how close Semi's hand was to hers.

"I was the first who met her." Bokuto whined quietly, scowling at another fit of laughter that shook Y/N's body. "And I brought her here today. Why is she talking to him?"

"You can still take her back to her room" Kuroo suggested smugly. "Or yours, suit yourself."

"But how? If I say that she should go back, she will think that I'm weird, controlling freak. And we're not close enough for me to act like this." Bokuto pouted, making a harsh movement of putting his chin on his palm. His eyes darted to the side, once again looking at the two.

"Just tell her that it's late and that you're going to sleep. There is a possibility that she will go with you since we all have classes tomorrow."

"Why are you helping me?" Bokuto suddenly narrowed his eyes suspiciously.

"What do you mean?" A grin that appeared on Kuroo's face made Bokuto even more suspicious.

"I mean that we are competing." Bokuto didn't look away from his face, but Kuroo just sighed and placed the cup next to him on the floor.

"Yuuji doesn't help me anymore for some reason, so treat it like a truce. I will help you now, but when the situation is in my favor, you will help me back."

Bokuto was thinking for a moment, but the proposition was quite good for him. "I will help you only if it works now." He finally said and Kuroo took his cup and bumped it lightly against Bokuto's.

"Deal. Now go and tell her that you're going back. Since she's sitting on your hoodie, it will be a little bit easier to find an excuse."

Bokuto nodded and a moment later he was already crouching down next to Y/N. "Hey, I'm going back to my room now. You can give me my hoodie back later if you want to stay." He said with a light smile.

"Oh, sorry. You can have it now, I'm going back to my room as well." She said. Semi looked between her and the other man and bit the inside of his cheek as an attempt of stopping a chuckle. Bokuto's face gave away his thoughts perfectly.

"You probably want to get some sleep." He said, turning to the girl.

Y/N looked at her phone and sighed. "Right, I should go. But if you're up to showing me more of the instruments you can play, we can finish the conversation tomorrow."

Bokuto almost scowled, looking at how happy she looked. The feeling that he was way behind any other man in the dorms was killing him. An addicting, sweet taste of the victory was like a drug which poisoned his mind, but the fact that a girl he wanted basically gushed over someone else was much worse.
