Y/N leaned her forehead on the door, breathing out deeply. That's when she felt a soft hand on her shoulder. She jumped, startled just to hear a soft chuckle from behind her.
"Ya didn't react like that even when I caught ya in the library with that playboy." She turned around to stand face to face with the blond man. The room was dark, fortunately, so he couldn't possibly see her blushing cheeks.
"It was just a jump scare." She said defensively, making him chuckle again.
"Yeah, sure. Let's say I believe ya." He waited for a moment, having the advantage to stay with his back to the window. He could see the outline of her face in the light coming from the lamps illuminating the courtyard, while she could only see his shadow. "Coming back to the main question." His voice dropped lower. "What are ya going to do now?"
Y/N chewed her lip for a moment, wondering.
The adrenaline she felt the moment Sakusa opened his door seemed to disappear, the familiar tingle in her stomach falling into its place.
"Why do I get a feeling that you just try to manipulate me into doing something?" She asked, suddenly suspicious about the man.
She didn't see his face in the darkness, but she was sure that he still had this sly smile plastered to his face as he answered. "Aren't ya the one who pulled me here?" He asked with amusement. "I just thought that if ya had fun with Oikawa, maybe you'd like to have some fun with me."
She frowned. He surely had his way with words, making everything so simple. But she couldn't forget that he was very keen on getting into the game to win her over. Maybe it was time for getting a little revenge?
"Hmm, I don't think so." She mused, taking a small step towards him. He didn't back away, standing still as he looked down at the girl. "Maybe I'll just take a shower and have fun with myself?" She continued, waiting for his reaction.
She heard him taking a deeper breath before he cleared his throat. "Yeah? Why the shower?" He asked, not moving an inch as she took another, small step towards him.
"I don't know." She shrugged. "Maybe I just want hot water over my body while I finish what Oikawa started earlier."
She thought she had the upper hand, so confident that he would fall for her words. That he will start to ask her more questions, maybe try to convince her that she should stay with him. But his next sentence threw her off completely.
"Alone? Or with Sakusa?" He asked sternly.
Y/N completely forgot that he just went to the bathroom. Her mouth fell open when Atsumu passed by her figure and opened the door behind her back.
"I don't want to force ya into anything, just to be clear." She turned around to see his figure, outlined by the soft light from the corridor. His face unreadable. "Maybe when ya make up your mind, it will be better." He closed the door, submerging the room in the darkness again.
He confused Y/N a couple of times now, but this time she couldn't find the right words.
She thought she had an upper hand, knowing about the game. But right now everything started to make no sense at all. Terushima was clear about Atsumu and some of the others, telling her that they just wanted to have some fun with her.
Turning the light on, she sat at the desk and took the notes out of her bag. But every attempt of studying more was crushed by her thoughts running wild as she stared at the pages.
It was their fault for making such a bet, so why did she feel bad about teasing him now?
Maybe all of this was even more complicated than she thought?
