Like a movie

The outside world seemed much calmer. There was no music, no colorful lights, and no drunk college students.

Just darkness.

"It seems illegal to be here at this hour." Y/N whispered, afraid to raise her voice in the tranquil moment.

"It's not illegal if ya don't do anything illegal. But if the guard sees us, he will probably tell us to get back to our rooms." Atsumu led the way and Y/N had to focus to see the pavement under her feet. To her surprise, it quickly turned into soft grass when they started walking towards a big tree on the courtyard.

He crouched to check if the grass was dry before plopping down under the tree. Y/N looked around, but the ground was the only thing she could sit on.

"If ya lay down instead of sitting, it will look like we're in a romantic movie." The blonde joked, sending the girl one of his most charming smile despite the darkness that stopped her from seeing it.

"If we were in a romantic movie, the moon would be enormous, and it wouldn't be so damn dark." She pointed out but slid lower to lay down next to the man. The ground was cold and surely not as comfortable as a bench, but the view was compensating for every discomfort.

Atsumu laid on his side with eyes squinted as if he was thinking hard about something. When Y/N looked at him, he appeared mostly as the dark contour under the starry sky. The only things that stood out were his eyes. They were shining a little bit, drawing the girl in.

"What?" She asked when he didn't say a word.

He shrugged lightly before answering. "Nothing, I was just wondering if ya like romantic movies." He mused, taking a single lock of her hair between his fingers. It moved smoothly before falling to the ground again.

"I watch them mostly when I'm on my period or when I feel really bad. On other days they seem too cheesy and unnatural." She responded, looking at the sky again. There were no clouds, so it was the perfect time to watch the stars. The only thing that ruined the night was the chill hanging around the two in the air.

"Unnatural?" Atsumu raised his brows. "Ya mean actors or something else?"

"The plot. It's so unnatural for men in those movies to be so nice and kind and perfect." Y/N huffed lightly. "And when there's the end and reality hits in, I'm even more sad than before watching."

Atsumu was silent for a moment. Her words made the little lightbulb over his head light up when he got an idea. Leaning on his arm to be on the same level as the girl, he crawled a little bit closer.

"So ya want to be treated nicely, just like girls in romantic movies?" He asked, feigning innocence.

Y/N immediately sensed the change in his voice and turned her head towards him quickly. She watched him for a moment, or at least tried to, but the darkness was hiding his expression too well. "Everyone wants to be treated nicely." She said carefully.

"Yeah, but there is a different type of treating people nicely. For example, if I were regularly nice to ya, I would offer my hoodie to lay on. If I'm nice in a way that people in romantic movies are, we would be cuddled into each other right now. Or ya would sit on my lap under this tree, or lay yer head on my arm, or whatever. What I'm asking is, do you want me to act like in a romantic movie?"

His words made Y/N stare for a moment. Something deep inside her screamed that she really should agree, but that little voice in her head was drowned by another that sensed a trickery.

"So you just want to pretend to be nice to get what you want?" She asked, trying not to make herself sound mean.

Atsumu chuckled at her tone. "Nope. I'm going to show ya that being nice and cheesy is not unnatural."
