The music seemed to sip through the walls as Y/N, Semi and Kiyoko were coming downstairs. As soon as they walked into the basement, the mix of smells and loud music encompassed them like a wet blanket.
Kiyoko immediately walked towards the kitchen, pulling Y/N after her. Once inside, she poured the remaining wine into their glasses and pulled another bottle from the fridge.
"I think I will stay here. I don't like to be crowded, but you two can go and dance." She said, leaning her hip on the counter and taking a sip from her glass.
"Are you sure you won't be bored?" Y/N asked with a worried hint in her voice.
She thought that she will be able to have fun dancing with Kiyoko for the whole night, or at least a part of it.
"Not really. People keep coming here for something to drink, so I will have constant company. At least after evenings like this I know almost all of the gossips from the university." She giggled before she reached her hand for Y/N's glass. She slowly lifted it to her lips and waited until her younger friend has drunk everything she had in there. "Now you can go have fun." She winked at Y/N and gently pushed her towards the door.
Semi watched the scene with an amused expression, lightly shaking his head at Kiyoko. He reached his hand in Y/N's direction. "Come on, we were ordered to have fun."
"But not too much!" Kiyoko called after them. "I'll be here if you need to wind down a little, so visit me!"
"We will!" Y/N called back as she was already pulled out of the kitchen by Semi.
They went to the darker corner of the room, where Y/N could see more girls than she'd seen the whole week at the university. Just as Kiyoko said, it was crowded, but that gave Y/N a feeling of being at least a little bit hidden from the stares she was receiving.
Semi pulled her among dancing people and put her hands on his shoulders as they started following the music. He secured his hands on her back and Y/N shivered when she felt his fingers grazing her naked skin.
The music was not too fast at first, but once it ended, a couple of faster songs played. Y/N was swirling among people, following Semi's steps as they both laughed and tried not to bump into others. The girl felt a couple of hands on her arms as she was pulled more into the dancing crowd. For a moment she lost Semi's hand and soon was swarmed by other men trying to dance with her. She looked around with confusion, looking for silver hair.
Someone grabbed her waist from the back, and she quickly turned around just to look straight into dark brown eyes.
"Got you!" Semi smiled, making Y/N breathe out with relief.
"Sorry, I lost you for a moment." She admitted, clinging to him slightly. They moved slowly towards the even darker part of the room, far away from the LED lights that slowly changed color from blue to purple.
"Good I was able to spot you. It was not hard. I just had to look for the group of men acting like they were doing a mating dance."
Y/N laughed soundly, realizing that what he said was strangely accurate. She looked at two girls dancing together. They were surrounded by a chain of men trying to get their attention by moving close to them while making vivid movements.
"God, they look ridiculous. I'm curious how would they dance if the song changed into something really slow." She mused.
Feeling a cold wall against her back, she jumped from surprise, but Semi seemed like he didn't notice. They finally were in a place where they had a little bit more freedom, but his hand was still resting on her waist, just as he was afraid to lose her again.
