"Cinematography. It has everything to do with picture, so you must consider everything. That means lightning, the choice of cameras, filters, lenses, camera movements and angle, future special effects, composition of the scene and all that stuff."
Y/N was trying to note everything the teacher was saying, but it was hard when he was talking so quickly. To her luck, Hinata raised his hand, so she had a couple of seconds more to write down everything she remembered.
"So that's the hardest thing in movie making process? How are we supposed to learn everything?" The redhead asked, genuinely scared of his grades. But he was not the only one. Almost every student felt sweat already forming on their foreheads as they were listening to this short introduction.
"Can you hold the camera... Hinata, right?" The man asked with a grin, making some of the students smile. Hinata just nodded excitedly, to which teacher's grin widened. "That's all you need for the beginning. You will learn the most after choosing cinematography major. And I told you, you can call me Keishin or Ukai, I'm not that much older than you guys." He looked around the class, noticing with satisfaction that students didn't seem bored at all. "Any more questions?"
Some of the students shook their heads, so he continued. "The best way to learn in my opinion is to shoot a five-minute scene. It doesn't have to be anything interesting, you just must shoot, for example a location or a person and I will talk to you individually about your work. You can ask your older friends from Acting major, they will be surely happy to act even for a minute for you, so don't be scared."
The lesson went by quickly on learning and small jokes from the teacher. After the class Y/N tagged along with Tsukki, Yamaguchi, Hinata and Kageyama as they walked to the cafeteria, where they planned to eat something small before the next class.
"It's weird, I thought that having one or two classes a day would give us a lot of free time, but I didn't know that those classes are much longer than in school." Hinata pondered, walking care freely between Kageyama and Y/N. "You guys think that it's like this everywhere?"
Tsukishima just rolled his eyes and put his headphones on, quickening his pace enough so he didn't have to listen to his rambling while the rest just let Hinata talk. They all learned that answering any of his questions before he was finished was useless, since the man just continued like he didn't hear anything.
"I understand that yesterday's classes were 1,5 hours long, but three hours!? With just one quick break? Isn't that against the law?" The redhead continued, visibly stirred that he had to sit for three hours and moreover, he had to focus on listening to the teacher at the same time.
"It's normal when you are in college. Be grateful that we have just one class this long." Y/N smiled, seeing Hinata's wide opened eyes.
"Wait, so we could have more!?" He yelled, drawing attention of other students approaching cafeteria.
"Yeah, my friend had at least one class this long per day, so we really don't have it that bad."
"Woah, I would die." Hinata ran his hand over his face, tired of even imagining a catastrophe like this. "By the way, what do you plan on shooting for homework from cinematography?" He asked happily, looking at Y/N.
The girl bit the inside of her cheek, thinking about the answer. The teacher said that she can do anything, even a quick footage from her window showing the square before the dorms. "I'm not sure. I think I will ask someone from acting major about help."
Hinata almost jumped hearing this. "I'm going to be on acting major! I can-"
"Hinata boke! You were supposed to help me with my homework!" Kageyama suddenly hit his head from the back, making the shorter male yelp.
