Jasper smiled as he looked at Adelaide staring out the window. He walked over and wrapped his arms around her. "What's on your mind, darlin?"

"Nothing." She tells him as she looked at him. "Just looking outside thinking of a new hobby. Why? Did you get worried?"

"No. I'm not Edward." He tells her. "I wished we didn't have to come back. Being on vacation has been amazing."

"Yes it was." She says as she kissed him. "We need to talk about this party. Are you okay because Alice is not listening to none of us."

"I'll be fine, darling, but are you okay."

Adelaide was unsure. She didn't want to be around her great great niece most of the time because of her scent. Then there was her best friend. "No." She tells him. "I'm not okay. I think today is a bad idea and no one seems to see it." Adelaide sat on the bed and sighed. "I'm afraid that something might happen that will make us leave our home."

Jasper walked over to her and sat beside her. Taking her hand in his, Adelaide looked at him to see him looking at her. "I know you are worried about this party, but I will be right there beside you incase something happens."

Adelaide looked at him smiling. "Thanks, Jasper."

At school, Marylin stood watching Adelaide hang a new photo of her and Jasper. "So, how did vacation go?" She asked.

"It was wonderful." Adelaide said leaning against her locker smiling. "He took me to this disclosed beach and we spent time together. We went hunting, played chest, everything that we haven't done in a very long time." Marylin smiled at her as Jasper stood near by listening.

"Sounds like you had a good time."

"Marylin, if you were there, you would have seen everything that he did for me. I felt like I was the only vampire on this planet." She said. "It felt like I fell in love with Jasper all over again. Like it was the first time we were alone back in '49." The redhead laughed. "I really do love him, Marylin."

"And I really love you."

The two looked to see Jasper. "How long were you there?" Adelaide asked.

"Long enough to hear that you felt like you fell in love with me all over again."

If Adelaide was human, she would be blushing. Jasper smiled as he kissed her head. "It's time you three." Alice tells them causing Adelaide to sigh as they walked towards Edward and Bella.

Jasper focused on Bella's emotions causing her to agree. Adelaide smiled a bit till Bella walked over. "No fair in changing my emotions."

The redhead laughed as she walked away. "Maybe this party will be interesting after all."

Jasper kissed her head. "Just let Alice enjoy it." Marylin tells them. "She never gets to throw a party for anyone else." Adelaide gave her a look. "Let her feel human since she doesn't remember anything about her life. Please."

"Fine."

After school, Adelaide was ready to get this party over with. She stood beside Rosalie and Marylin talking about anything that isn't about this party. Jasper walked over to them and wrapped his arms around her. "The party is starting."

"Oh great." Rosalie said. "A disaster waiting to happen."

Adelaide didn't say much as she stayed in her mate's arms. They all looked to see Alice dragging Bella down causing Adelaide to smile a little bit.

"Why do I have a bad feeling that something is going to happen."

Adelaide shrugged as she looked at her best friend before looking back to Bella. They watched the girl open her gifts. One by one. Everything seemed fine until it wasn't. Adelaide could have sworn everything went slow motion. The moment they smelt blood. The moment where Bella revealed her paper cut.

Jasper moved Adelaide out of the way as he felt everyone's hunger causing him to act. The redhead grabbed her mate and got him to look her in the eyes. "Baby, you got this. Fight their hunger."

Marylin held her breath as she followed Emmett and Carlisle. Adelaide looked at Edward then Bella before following the others.

Jasper looked up and ran to his mate. She hugged him as he felt so guilty for what happened. Not saying a word, Adelaide stood with Jasper as she held him tight. "I'm not upset with you, Jasper." She tells him.

"I love you so much, Adelaide."

"I love you too." She tells him. "Let's sit down and wait till its okay to go back in."

Jasper nodded as they sat in the hood of the car. Jasper kept his face in Adelaide's hair inhaling her scent. They saw Bella leaving a few minutes later. Adelaide looked at Edward and knew what he was thinking without having that gift. "You want us to leave."

"It's for her safety. Jasper..."

"Don't you dare!" Adelaide said as she held him by the throat. "Don't you blame him for something he can't control. His fucking gift! He felt your hunger, mine, Alice, Marylin, Rosalie, Emmett, Esme, and Carlisle's hunger. That didn't help much, but since you want to accuse my mate. We're going somewhere's else away from everyone for awhile."

Jasper grabbed Adelaide. "Thank you." He tells her as he looked at Edward. "You need to actually think of your actions before you screw up." Adelaide looked at him. "Bella loves you just like you love her, but is leaving her here something you truly want?"

Edward didn't say a word as Adelaide and Jasper left to get packing and leave. No one else in the coven spoke as this was heartbreaking. Two were leaving them because they wanted a break. "They'll come back." Alice tells them. "We are their family. They just need more time together."

Jasper looked at Adelaide as she got the last bag. "Ready?"

"Let's go, darlin."

Adelaide smiled as this was a goodbye for now, but not forever.
