Adelaide smiled as she skipped down the dark street. She never noticed a pair of red eyes watching her. Adelaide turned down another street and saw a kitten and smiled. "Aren't you just the cutest." She says.

A gust of wind made her turn around. She knew by that wind that it was something else. The kitten had ran off causing Adelaide to follow it. She couldn't see anything as she walked through the dark alley. Just the sound of her shoes in the alley was all she heard. No meow from the kitten or any other noise. Adelaide felt like she was set up. Like the kitten was a trap.

A scream was heard through the dark alley. Adelaide laid on the ground screaming from a bite to her neck. She never saw the attacker as her vision clouded up.

Three days later, Adelaide woke up and saw she was still in the alley. She heard a noise and saw a man drunk. Adelaide hid as she watched him. When he got close, she covered his mouth and fed off him.

Once she dropped the body, Adelaide Swan had to leave in order to protect those she loved. She was going to travel the world and start a new life. First she needed to find a friend. Not an ordinary friend, but a friend who needed a better life. That deserve to be what she is. A vampire.
