I jerked up when I heard a mosquito ruining my sleep right near my ear.The most annoying way to wake up.
"Took you long enough."
I found the source of the voice, Peter, standing above me.
I squint and slowly take in my surroundings. I was up on Peter's terrace, on the hammock, and it looked like the sun was going to rise any time soon.
"Did you even sleep?" I asked hoarsely.
"Yeah, for about three hours," Peter replies. "Come."
He took my hand and guided me to the east side of the terrace, probably wanting to see the sunrise.
"What time is it?" I asked, leaning on the railing.
"Five-forty. It's the blue hour."
"Well, good morning," I hugged him lazily.
"Mhm."
He wrapped his arms around me in a gentle hug.
We stood like that for the next couple of minutes and finally, the sun decided to rise.
It looked like the heavens decided to descend.
"Pete."
"Hmm?"
"This is the first time I'm seeing a sunrise," I whispered.
"Breath taking isn't it?" He muttered.
I nodded slowly.
The sky was painted in all the pretty shades it looked best in, the sun peeking gently behind the clouds.
Peter moved behind me and wrapped his arms around my shoulders.
"Jodidamente bonita."
Peter whispers in Spanish.
"Yeah," I agreed.
"You've no idea what I just said," he chuckled.
"True, but it's all about intuition," I said.
"Idiot," he muttered, flicking my forehead.
"Are we doing something today? Let's do something fun, all of us," I suggested.
Peter hummed.
"How do you fancy a mini trip to New York?"
"You're joking."
"I'm not, my parents are hosting a fashion show for the next couple of days, we can crash it."
I turned around to look at him and pulled away, looking at him up and down.
"Let's not crash it. Get an invite instead, it's better right?" I asked, crossing my arms.
