I would have not believed if someone told me two weeks ago that I would be going on an unplanned and spontaneous date with Ezekiel Knight. I would have laughed in their face and asked them to go get a life.

But here I was, sitting in Ezekiel Knight's car, speechless because I still can't believe this was happening.

"Is there any place you want to go?" He asked, fiddling with the radio.

I looked at him, my lips pressed in a thin line.

"Uh, where would you like to go?" I asked, keeping myself calm.

Zeke turned to look at me with a an unreadable look on his face.

"Saira, are you uncomfortable around me?" He asked, switching off the engine.

Oh heck, no way.

"No, no, not at all, I'm just not used to this," I swayed my hands around.

"Used to what?" He furrowed his brows.

"I've never really been on a date so it's quite new to me, I've only watched movies about it," I shrugged.

I knew that I'd say fuck it and let loose around him but until then, I need to play safe because he can't know about my (more than) crush on him.

"Wow, that's surprising," he chuckled, starting the engine.

"Why is that surprising?"

He shook his head with a grin, reversing the car and driving ahead out of the school campus.

"You're one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen, plus you seem smart and funny, so it's unusual that you've never been on a date, I must be really lucky then," he winked.

I could feel my cheeks flush.

"Thanks," I muttered, "I guess you are lucky," I played along, making him chuckle, when in reality I'm the lucky one.

Ah, fuck it, I'm going on a date with the boy I've been in love with for the past god knows how long so might as well have fun and let loose.

"So where are we going?" I asked.

I tried not to stare at him for too long and expose myself.

"To a dog café, they let you play with dogs," he said, glancing at me.

I studied him from top to bottom.

He was wearing a white tee with an unbuttoned flannel on top and a loose pair of black jeans, and the thing that always seemed to draw me in about him was his mop of black hair that kept falling into his eyes.

"Take a picture it'll last longer," he said with a slight smirk.

Shit I feel like I'm in a Wattpad book.
