The day was tilting on its axis--it was starting to get a little less than better.

It all started when Sierra Stevens showed up with her attitude, looking at all of us with narrowed eyes. She was warming up to Peter since they were already acquainted.

"Why does she look like that?" Trixie whispered, pulling me down to hear her.

I looked back at my friends, chatting away all hyped up after the rollercoaster ride which was super wild.

"Like what?" I looked at the said girl.

"Eight layers of make-up and a boob job," Trixie muttered.

Okay the way she said it was very unpleasant, especially since I imagined it. It's ridiculous being one of those people who imagine everything the second they hear it.

"Trixie, no," I groaned.

"What, anybody can see it," she defended, crossing her arms against her chest.

"Hey no hating on somebody just because they have what you don't," I tried to hide my smirk after I said that.

"Sai! I have boobs! Wanna see?" She began unbuttoning her flannel. I quickly pushed her away with a chuckle.

"I was just joking," I slung an arm around her shoulder.

"You better," she grumbled.

I looked around the buzzing fair. Most of the crowd consisted of people and their kids, and many were running around screaming with something or the other they seemed to have won or bought at the fair.

"Let's get some cotton candy." I suggested, pulling Trixie towards the cotton candy stall. It was crowded, but the crowd was moving quickly.

"Hey," Zeke said falling in step with me while we were standing in line for the cotton candy.

"Hi," I greeted him with a grin.

These days, I was playing my feelings lowkey. My feelings for Zeke. They seemed to have... dulled. But that was probably because I haven't been seeing him as often as I used to. It's scary to think about it, really.

One day, whatever I felt for him was just less than the previous day.

It didn't hit me all of a sudden; it seemed to be something I realized gradually, and for that, I was grateful.

"Getting some cotton candy I see," he commented, when Trixie silently slipped away, walking towards Tyler and the others.

"Yeah, I hope they don't run out," I said, glancing at the amount of people waiting in line.

I was about to fall to the ground when I noticed how close Zeke's face was to mine. I leaned back reflexively.

"You're pretty," he murmured, his eyes looking down at my lips for a fraction of a second.
