"Are we there yet?"

"Jesus help me! This tapping is getting on my nerves!"

"If you were half the Doctor you claim to be, you would've noticed the stuff eating at my nerves!"

"Shut up you dog!"

"Says the one who has to see for me! You're my sight dog!"

"Don't forget I control most of what you eat right now!"

"So you not gon' feed me?!"

"NO!? Look, I just got done running around with sick people all day! My Chinese is sloppy. I'm black, so they treat me like crap! I don't have time to explain myself to skinny scared people AND my annoying brother!! I came to chill and have cake with you and Nia. Don't make me take you back!"

"Just take me to eat some cake drink juice with hot foreign girls, ok?"

Something makes a sound behind me. "HI FRIENDS!" My eyes land on Nia. "Kelan, Tallulah how are you?"

"Good!" I answer. "I didn't know if this was the right place."

Kelan chimes in. "It sounds like we're in an alleyway, is this the right place?"

His ears are getting better

"Yes, we are going down."

I look at the concrete ground under us. "Down?"

"T-parties aren't what Americans call: legal." She punches the wall beside her with the side of her fist. "Pàiduì."

The "concrete" wall slowly opens. I grab Kelan's hand and place it next to it so he can feel it. "Is it opening?"

"Yes! The dang wall opens!!" I scream.

He jumps back at me.

"Sorry." I squeal.

A small man appears behind the door. "Hao!"

I let Nia do her thing. She pays them the amount we owe and we go in. The loud yelling is the first thing I hear, then I see loads of people in chairs around a rink.

"Fight club!" Kelan says it before I do.

"People get down like that?" I'm surprised Asians even thinks about things like this. I can't even pass a gun store and they're hosting an illegal fight club?

I'm not racists, but they're all frail for a reason. I've never even seen Chinese people fight before. They're like...globally known for being nice.

"Now this is a once in a lifetime experience."

"Ah! Diànhuà!" Someone says beside me.

I see a small girl with a bucket of phones and sticky notes. "For secretive, we need phone." She speaks slow, chopped English. She most likely figured I don't know Chinese.

I simply give her my phone along with Nia's. Nia leads us to our seats after giving us card passes.

"3rd row seats so juices don't fly on us." She mentions.

I look at the men in the ring. "Why do they have on masks?"

"Identity is kept secret. Our people respect eachother, even in our wrongs. This is for fun, it doesn't need to mess up real life." She smiles, showing her beautiful smile. "Ponytail is my favorite."

"Ponytail?" I question, looking back at the ring.

Wow that's a body!!

He has a heart tattoo on his chest, but no other. His hair is long. He's muscular, and that's coming from a woman with bulging muscles myself. Those out-shine my own.

"I'm jealous!" I squeeze me arm. "No way."

"That sounds like the voice of a woman who just got out-jacked." Kelan says.

"Shut up! Do you see his arms?! There's at least 20 pounds on him just from his arms!"

"This must be your first time seeing a buff Chinese guy." Kelan says.

"Arms bigger than mine!" I examine myself. "This fight is about to be lit!!"

The referee walks around the ring, hyping the crowd. They scream back in many languages, all just want to see fist flying.

The two opponents come onto the "stage."

The referee announces their names. One is called: "Hit one!" And the other, the one with the hair and tattoo: "Blood."

I guess that explains the heart tatoo

The fight starts, and I alone can barely contain myself.

Personally, I'm rooting for the bigger guy without the heart, but my hopes and side bets are gone when the bigger guy falls to the ground.

"The man we bet on... He lost." I say as thean on the mic says something else. Who cares? Nia spent a lot to get all of us here.

"No! I BET MONEY ON THAT GUY! LET ME IN THE RINK! I'LL GET IT BACK IN BLOOD!"

A siren goes off, and the referee points at someone in the stands. "WE HAVE A FIGHTER!"

HE KNOWS ENGLISH?!?!

Nia grabs my arm. "The speaker called a free-for-all, we weren't to speak at all!"

"I didn't hear that!" I complain with a shrug and bucked eyes.

"It was seconds before the boy screamed!"

He quickly translates to Cantonese and Mandarin, and a few people come toward the crowd. I'm guessing they're going for the next fighter.

"A man?! Darker than your worst nightmare, he must be strong to take on Blood!" The Ref says.

A man grabs Kelan's arm, causing me to yank away. "Hey! Don't touch him!"

The ref chips in. "You have challenged Blood. Now, the only way you get to win 20,000 yuan is to fight!"

"FIGHT!" Kelan says. "Me fight??" Words start clashing as I struggle against the guys.

"20k?" Kelan questions.

"That's like 3k" I mention. "Let go of my brother!"

"Please!" I beg the man holding Kelan.

"NO"

"Ow! Let go!"

The men start to pull him. "Wait! I was just saying random bs! I can't fight!"

"I said it not him!" I say. It's giving Hunger Games the way I'm throwing myself out there, but they get he gist when I say. "He's blind. Bù kàn!" As they let him go, I replace Kelan.

DING DING

"ALRIGHT BOTH FIGHTERS ARE READY!" THE REF CALLS.

It wasn't long for me to get ready. I was basically thrown into the rink as is. How did we end up here? I'm fighting for money I'll never use! I'm a foreigner... Kelan is disabled.

COULD I HAVE JUST EXPLAINED THAT TO THEM AND SAT BACK DOWN! BOMBO! I'M AM IDIOT!!
