Mirage's P.O.V.
I find myself strapped to a berth in a poorly lit room. A human on a platform walks toward me.
"So, you're the only one who found out we've been trying to kill that human, and now you know why," they say, pissed.
Megatron scolded them. Why didn't Megatron kill them?
"Why do you want me? Jamie is dead," I tell them.
"Then why would you come back?"
"Answers, we saw the scar. You removed the chip, and we had to know how you would know about it."
"And now you know," Megatron says, "going to tell Prime and plan a revenge mission? Go ahead then. I await a good fight."
Megatron let me go. I shot him a few times before Transforming and driving off."She was — is — in danger," Optimus frets.
"Perhaps, but I told Megatron she's dead."
"It might be the truth," Ratchet says, scaring me. I've been away looking for answers since we saved Jamie.
"She's still very weak and flatlined twice. I don't know if she'll recover," Ratchet tells me in a sad tone.
I learn Drift is in stasis, and Crosshairs doesn't leave the medbay.
We need a damn miracle.Ratchet's P.O.V.
By now, human doctors would have decided Jamie is gone. She's dead the second I turn the ventilator off, but she's a fighter. While this is the worst state she's been in, the previous situation that left her critically ill was rough.
Stasis isn't keeping Drift away from this. I see he's having nightmares about this but can't wake up. It doesn't matter if he's in stasis or not, but we are unsure if his mental state will decline further, and stasis might be better for him.
I watch Mirage look at the two, horror written on his face. Crosshairs is unaware Mirage or I are in the medbay until Mirage sits next to him and speaks.Mirage's P.O.V.
"Are you doing ok?" I ask.
"As ok as I can be," Crosshairs replies sadly. I can tell he's been trying not to cry.
"Come back to my office for a while," I suggest. Taking Crosshairs away from here will help a little, even if he's still going to think about his friends.Crosshairs comes with me and sits quietly as I work. I hate seeing how crushed he is, and Drift is closer to Jamie. As far as I know, he's alone at night and likely crying.
I work on my cases for a few hours before getting Crosshairs to come with me to the cafeteria, hoping he's not refusing to eat. Even if it's easy to fix that.Crosshairs ate before going back to the medbay. I went with him, hoping he wouldn't see bad news there.
"No," I hear him as he looks at Jamie. He fights me as I try to get him to leave.
Ratchet rushes in and helps me get Crosshairs out of the medbay, which might have been a bad idea. Crosshairs passes out from fear.Optimus helps me get Crosshairs to the lounge room, the closest place to lie him down. He wakes up two minutes later.
"Jamie...," Is all he said before crying.
I don't know what to say; he's not bothered by my hug.
Ratchet comes in two minutes later. Optimus and I are afraid to ask about Jamie. Ratchet looks at the scene for a minute before leaving. Optimus tries to get Crosshairs to calm down, but it's impossible. I know what he's thinking.Ratchet's P.O.V.
Two weeks have passed; Crosshairs has gotten to the point of neglecting himself. It's hard to know what to do; put Crosshairs in stasis or get Drift out of stasis as planned. Jamie is making minuscule improvements, and it's still too soon to know if she'll recover.
"What is the plan, Prime?" I ask as Prime sits by Jamie.
"I am unsure; Crosshairs is neglecting himself, but would Drift do the same soon after waking from stasis? Should we wait for Crosshairs to want to be in stasis?" Prime sighs.
Even though Drift is still having nightmares while in stasis, he's safe and unable to harm himself, but it's not good for anybot to be in stasis for months.Crosshairs' P.O.V.
They don't know the nightmares I have been having. Well, more like the same horrifying nightmare I have every night. I'm amazed I'm able to even sleep. This shit situation will not end well. I don't know if I should go first or try to wait for a miracle?Bumblebee's P.O.V.
No one can get Crosshairs to leave his room. Even though I think it's more depressing than being in the medbay. No one wants to go there either and see how critical Jamie is.
Sunstreaker has been more pissed than usual, which is saying something. It's strange seeing him care for anyone, never mind a human.I can enter Crosshairs' room. It's midnight, and I want to make sure he's asleep.
Damn, the nightmare he must have to cry and talk in his sleep. I hate to be a horrible friend and not help him, but Ratchet needs to see this. Two minutes is enough; I need to wake Crosshairs up.
"Crosshairs, wake up."
I gently shake him as I hear him begging Drift and Jamie not to leave him. This isn't good. He's dreaming Drift harmed himself badly and is dying along with Jamie.Sunstreaker's P.O.V.
I hear Crosshairs from his room. The door is open. Bee is trying to Crosshairs up as he cries in his sleep. I go to my room to get some things."Where are you going?" Sideswipe asks.
"A revenge mission. You're staying here."
Sideswipe tries everything possible to get me to stay here.
"We could lose three friends. They need to pay!!"
