Chapter 6 - The P-twins

Hi, Peyton again. So, I know I am leaving a lot out here so I am just going to say, PERCY DID IT! The girl that was trying to stop Clarisse from giving me and Percy the initiation ceremony put us on her team to capture the flag on friday and the Ares camps decided to come and brain me and then Percy got a quest because a hellhound tried to kill Percy. Straight after the hellhound was killed both me and percy were claimed as Posieden's kids.

Yay! All in one paragraph!

So anyway, Percy got a creepy prophecy and he was going to leave in the morning. We both moved into cabin three with the little things we own, school is gonna be so mad when I come back telling them that most of my uniforms were destroyed.

That night I had a dream of a man he was telling me to go to the oracle.

"Go to the oracle. Get a prophecy. It should give you instructions on following your brother. When you wake up there will be a parcel on the table by your bed. Good luck my daughter." he told me.

I woke up at my usual time of about 6 in the morning to find Percy still out cold. On the table by my bed was a wrapped package. I grabbed it and then I went for my jog. I jogged to the creek in the forest and opened the thing.

Inside the package is a fishnet glove and a note.

Daughter,

Your brother got a sword from me. Riptide. So, I give you this glove. When you are wearing it it will render you and anything your skin touches invisible. I suggest you find a dagger.

Tell Chiron I am sending you on a solo quest. He will understand.

Ok, do my workouts and then find Chiron.

"Hey Chiron," I called when I knocked on the big house door.

"What is it child?" he asked when he answered the door. I think he had just woken up because he was wearing a pajama shirt with small horses on it. How do centaurs sleep?

"Poseidon is sending me on a solo quest." I said doing exactly what the note said.

"What for?"

"To follow and protect my brother and his quest." I said.

"Follow me." Chiron said, sounding resigned. I followed close behind as he led me to a stairway, "All the way up."

I went up the stairs quietly as if I made a sound it would get more foreboding than it already was. When I finally reached the top I found a mummy that looked kinda like a girl version of Jonny.

The mummy had hippy clothes and a gazillion necklaces. I now understand why Percy thought it was so creepy.

I wasn't sure what to do so I walked up to it and asked, "What do I do on my quest?"

All of a sudden this green mist seemed to pour from every hole in its face and a new scene showed up. It was Percy's eighth birthday. I know because he and Mom looked sad and the cake had 8 candles. It was the first birthday I wasn't there for.

Mom said in a creepy voice, "The roman-greek of sea follows her twin,"

Percy said, "She meets many gods akin,"

Then they both said together, "Daughter of death shows a way, later she makes a man of clay"

Daughter of death? I meet gods? I make a guy of clay? WHAT?!?

When I got back down the stairs Chiron had to snap his finger in front of my face a few times to get me out of my thoughts.

"So, what did Delphi have to say?" he asked.
