Chapter 17 - Lotus out!
The creepy man that gave me the casino card said it had infinite amounts of money on it. No wonder people ever want to leave. I also got Percy's room number. As I was running for the room I toppled straight into a girl that was playing a game and we fell to the floor.
"Oh my gods. I am so sorry!" I told the girl. She had wavy black hair and the strangest shade of blue eyes. Her smile curved like she was up to no good.
"Don't worry girl!" She told me, getting up and offering me a hand. I let her pull me up.
"So, who are you?" I asked.
"The name's Alexandra,(you're welcome A. C. 246) my mom is hecate. Who is your godly parent?" she asked me.
"Oh, Poseidon. My name's Peyton." I told her.
"Hey, I didn't know he had a daughter! Girl, you realize this place is a trap right?" asked Alexandra.
All of a sudden my wrist jerked. It has been a day already?
"Yeah, I am looking for my brother though. I have his room number." it held up a scrap of paper that I had jotted it down on.
"Girl, you better let me come. You're a kid of Poseidon, and they get all the action." Alexandra followed me to the elevator. I wonder what will happen to the string, hope the door doesn't cut it up.
When we finally got to the right floor we jogged down the hallways when we found the room Alexandra said, "Girl, what if they are in there?"
"Uh... I hadn't thought of that." I felt my wrist jerk again. It has been two days and I have barely been here an hour!
She snapped her fingers and all of a sudden we both looked like room service people, "what did you do?" I asked.
"Oh, just used the mist. Come on!" We knocked on the door and were replied with silence.
"Maybe they aren't in there?" I asked, all of a sudden the door opened.
"Room service!" Alexandra told Grover.
"This place keeps getting better and better." said Grover letting us in.
Both Alexandra and I stifled our laughter. I walked over to the trash can cause, isn't room service supposed to clean and when I saw what was in it i quickly grabbed the trash bag out of the can and set the can back down.
"Oh, silly me, I forgot to bring trash bags!" I said. I walked out the door and Alexandra followed.
"Girl, what did you find in their trash?" she asked when we got back out to the hall.
"It is the backpack Ares gave to them. I grabbed it from the bag and tossed it to her. When she caught it her eyes widened in surprise and she almost dropped the bag.
"What is it?" I asked.
"This bag is heavily enchanted..." she paused as if she were thinking and then said, "There." she stuck her hand in the bag and pulled out the worst thing possible.
"No."
