chapter six: truth or dare.
Melanie had lied to Fez, saying that she was spending a night a Rue's, which Rue gladly covered for her. It's not that Melanie didn't want Fez knowing about Elliot, she just knew that Fez wouldn't have let her spend a night at a boys house. So after she got everything she needed, she made Fez drop her off a Rue's house, and Rue quickly gave her a ride over to Elliot's place on her bike.
"Use a condom!" Rue called, and in unison, Elliot and Melanie flipped her off as Elliot closed the front door. "Damn, first I lie to Fez and now Monae isn't even home. What else are we gonna do? Throw a fucking party?" Melanie spoke as they walked up the stairs, Elliot turned back and smirked a her jokingly making her face grow hot. "I'm kidding, I just didn't want to be alone." Elliot admitted. "That's understandable, I hate being alone too. I could be alone in my room with my family in the house, but completely alone? That's not happening." Melanie said and Elliot nodded. "For most of my life, I've felt like I've been alone at times, but friends and family help, so I'd rather not be alone." Elliot admitted. "Well I'm either good at keeping someone company or annoying the shit out of them. So you're in for a ride." Melanie laughed as she placed her backpack and bag full of clothes onto his floor.
For the rest on the night, the two smoked, talk about nonsense while high.
"I think you're really attractive, Lanie." Elliot finally spoke after they were sitting in silence for a few minutes. "And I think you're very attractive." She said, smiling over at him. "When I first saw you I dead ass thought you were some popular girl who was about to expose the shit out of Rue and I." Elliot laughed, she laughed along. The two smoked about three blunts. "When I saw you for the first time, thought you were cute. And when you fixed my lipstick I was this close," She put her fingers nearly together. "This close to kissing you." She joked making Elliot laugh. "Why didn't you?" He asked. "Because I only knew you for two minutes at the time. I didn't wanna be weird." Melanie shrugged. "How would you feel if I kissed you right now?" He questioned. "I'd feel good." She raised her eyebrow as she looked over at him.
"How high are you right now?" He asked. "As high as you." She stated and he smiled. "Will you remember our kiss if I kiss you?" He questioned and she nodded. "Of course, I'll even dream about it." She teased. Elliot sat up, grabbing Melanie's hand and she sat up.
"Come here." He patted right beside him and she gladly crawled over to him, sitting right next to him. "This is definitely one reason why I lied about being over here." She said as Elliot placed his hand on her cheek. "Do you regret coming over?" He asked as he got closer, his eyes adverting to her lips. "Not at all." She said and he smiled. "Good." He said as he placed his lips against hers.

"So why exactly are we playing truth or dare?" Melanie furrowed her eyebrows as she closed her locker. "I don't know. For the thrill of it?" Rue didn't exactly know why they were either, she just didn't care. "When are we starting?" She asked. "Right now, we're supposed to be meeting by the water fountain like Jules said, so let's go." Rue spoke and Melanie nodded.
