"I would give anything for a work free, cellphone free, week" I sighed as I sat back down at my desk.
"Oh baby, I don't think those exist" Morgan chimed.
Then I felt two arms wrap around me from behind,
"Actually, they do" I could smell Emily's perfume.
"I'll believe it when I see it" I giggled.
Emily spun my chair around so it was facing her.
"Actually, I need to see you in my office when you have time."
My smile fell into a look of slight concern. I nodded my head before she walked away.
"what'd you do this time Y/L/N"
I shot Morgan a stare,
"Oh hey I forgot I have something for you, lemme just" I pretended to pull something out of my drawer and gave him the finger before I stood to go see Emily.
"You sure know how to make a girl nervous" as I walked towards her desk I smirked,
"and in more ways than one."
Her head hung low as she tried to hide her clever smile.
"Is that so?"
I sat on the edge of her desk as her glistening eyes met mine.
"I can't wait any longer"
Confused, I slightly furrowed my eyebrows. She stood up and walked over to me, taking both of my hands in hers.
"I want to get married."
Blush went straight to my cheeks.
"when were you thinking?" I asked with an excited grin.
"Tonight."
My eyes widened,
"tonight! Where?"
"Rossi's" she replied. I could see the hopefulness in her eyes and could hear it in her voice.
I sat there, slightly taken back, but I finally let out a laugh,
"Make me your wife Emily Prentiss."
"Really?"
"I would marry you in a seven eleven"
She cupped my face and brought her lips to mine,
"I am so in love with you Y/n" she whispered.
"To the moon and back" I replied.
Later that night at the 'Rossi Mansion' ;)
"Nervous?"
I turned to see Rossi standing in the door way holding a glass of scotch.
"Excited" I smiled.
His fatherly smirk brought me comfort.
"I've never seen her this happy and anxious." he paused. "it's a nice change."
Blush rushed to my cheeks and I thought of Emily getting ready downstairs.
"Rossi?" I stopped him. "can I ask you a question? Between us?"
"shoot"
"Would you be disappointed if..." the words were much harder to say than I thought. "if, say, Joy, liked women"
My dad had always been disappointed and I sometimes couldn't help but feel that I've let him down. Most of the time it doesn't bother me. But there's always a small part of you that wants the people you care about to support you.
