I know we've been doing some time jumping but I want to use these pictures of Paget so bad so it's Laurens first birthday:

"lets go say hi to jack" Emily held Lauren in her arms as Aaron and Jack arrived at Rossi's.

"Happy Birthday Lauren" Jack smiled and gave her the cutest little pat on the shoulder.

Everyone was talking and Jack was keeping Lauren occupied, playing with some large building blocks.

"Oh my god, Penelope!" my mouth hung open as she walked inside with both arms full of presents. "she's only one!"

"I know I know but I couldn't' help it! Everything is so much cuter when it's itty bitty size and I just couldn't decide so I got her some options"

Emily hugged Garcia once she put the gifts down and the adult, except for Spencer who wanted to watch Jack and Lauren, were gathered around the counter visiting.

"I can't believe how fast the year flew by" I sighed as I looked over at Emily who was staring to tear up. "honey don't be sad" I chuckled as I walked over and kissed her cheek.

"I know it's just-" her sentence was cut short as,

"mommy" came crying from the other room and we both went rushing in.

"she bumped her head on the sofa" Reid said trying to comfort her.

"mama" she held her hands out and up to Emily who quickly wrapped her arms around her.

"You're ok honey, we just have to be careful" she rubbed her back and Lauren began to calm down.

The others went back into the kitchen and I finished getting the cake ready while Emily sat with the kids.

"so..." Blake smirked.

"so.... what?" I laughed.

"would you ever want another one?"

"Kid!?" I asked sounding surprised.

"yeah"

"I mean, I don't know we haven't really discussed that. I think we're gonna try to not mess it up with this one and see how that goes"

Everyone laughed and then before too long we were all outside on Rossi's porch singing happy birthday.

"Happy Birthday to you!" Everyone cheered and Lauren started to cry.

"dad I want cake!" Jack shouted.

"wait your turn buddy"

After everyone had cake, people slowly started to trickle out.

"She's getting tired, I should probably go get this one ready for bed" Emily and Lauren said goodbye to everyone before Em went to put her down.

"I love all three of you and I'll see you and Emily at work on Monday" Rossi smiled before heading to his car.

Once everybody had left and I had cleaned up I made my way upstairs to check on my two girls. As I was walking down the hallway, I heard singing. I stood outside the door to Laurens room and listened.

"I'll tell the world I'll sing a song it's a better place since you came along, since you came along. Your touch is sunlight through the trees, your kisses are the ocean breeze, everything's alright when you're with me"

Emily was singing as Lauren's eyes began to flutter shut. I couldn't help but tear up. I somehow managed to find this woman, this perfect woman, who is not only the most incredible human I know, but is the most incredible mother on top of that.
