The Trouble With The Truth

"somebody wanna tell me what the hell's going on!" Morgan shouted. All eyes turned to Emily and I.

"Round table." Emily ordered and we all swiftly followed. She gave a synopsis of everything and we set to work. All of us frantically making phone calls, until Emilys personal phone rang.

"Guess who?" a feathery voice spoke through the phone.

"Adriane." Emily said coldly.

"Ding Ding" she sneered. "I have to say, pretty disappointed we didn't get your little...pet right from the get go, but I'm sure we'll have plenty of opportunities to take care of that."

"Come near her and I will end you." Emily's eyes grew into a pitch black, an anger unlike anything I'd ever seen.

"Oh, Kate, she's upset" Adriane laughed. "Well, here's how I see it, you took two things that were important to me, I think it's time you pay your dues. See you soon."

The line went dead.

"Damn it!" Emily threw the phone across the room.

"Hey, Em," I placed my hand on her arm trying to calm her down.

She ran her fingers through her hair.

"I need to make a call, I'll be right back." she said panicked.

"I'll come with you" I started.

"No, I'll be back ok" she weakly smiled. "Y/n, come here" she pulled me and kissed me. "I love you."

"I love you too," I said with slight concern on my face as she walked away.

We kept on working, trying to find more information.

"It's been fifteen minutes." I finally blurted. "Something's not right."

I took off running into Emilys office to find her cell phone laying on the desk.

"SHIT!" I yelled and Morgan came running in.

"what happened?" he asked frantically.

"She's gone" I huffed holding up her cell phone.

I stormed out of her office and headed for the doors.

"where are you going?" Morgan shouted.

"To find her" I replied without looking back.

"Y/n, stop you can't just start driving around aimlessly!"

"You can come with or you can stay, but don't you dare tell me to sit here and do nothing," I barked. "choice is yours."

That's when I saw Rossi grab his coat,

"Lets go kid" he said.

I followed him and Blake and Morgan were quick to join.

"I'll go to the house and see if she's there" I stated as I hoped into an SUV.

I took off, speeding to Emilys, as my tires screeched pulling into the driveway.

I carefully opened the door, and with in seconds I was down. I clutched the side of my head as stars started to fill my brain.

"Look who finally decided to join us" Adrianes voice echoed.

"Emily" I groaned as I tried to ground myself.

"I'm right here" she yelled before I heard her cry out in agony. They had her bound to a chair, she had been beaten pretty bad.

"Kate," Adriane called out, and before I knew it, a gunshot rang out.

I dropped to the ground. Kate had sent a bullet right through my leg.

"Mother fucker!" Emily screamed.

"Another sound out of you, and I kill her right here right now" Adriane barked at Emily.

"It's ok" I groaned to Emily. "I can take it."

Another evil laugh from Adriane echoed through the building.

"Aww, hear that Emily, she can take it."

Kate then drew a knife from a sheath on her ankle.

"This'll be fun" Kate cackled. I was just starting to ground myself from the shot.

"Emily, I'm going to ask you some questions and if you're honest with me, she doesn't get a knife plunged through her stomach, understand"

"what do you want?" Emily barked.

"Did you love him" Adriane asked.

"No" Emily replied.

"Well you loved him enough to have sex with him." Adriane nodded at Kate and Kate stabbed the knife into my other leg.

"what the fuck!" Emily cried. "I answered!"

"Tsk Tsk Agent, I said to be honest and you weren't."

"The only person who wasn't honest was your asshole brother. I said no and that's when he assaulted me you evil bitch" Emily hollered as she bounced between me, trying to hide the excruciating pain I was in, and back to Adriane.

"You were his!"

"what?" Emily scoffed. "Im a human being! I was not 'his' and I would have died before I brought a child into this world the shared the same DNA as that slimey piece of shit!"

"Again" Adriane sighed, and Kate took another stab at me, but after she unbuttoned the first few buttons on my blouse, took the knife and carved a X into my chest near my heart. Then she whispered,

"we brand all our pets."

Where is the fucking team, I thought to myself as the pain was starting to get the better of me.

"Stop, I'll do whatever you want but stop hurting her, please" Emily pleaded.

"no, I'm fine" I forced out. "don't you dare cave!"

"See, I'm all about an eye for an eye." Adriane hissed. "So, since you took something from me, I think I deserve some reparations. Don't you?"

"Burn in hell" Emily barked through gritted teeth.

"That's a shame," Adriane looks at Kate

"Do it."

and that's when three gunshots rang out. Morgan shot Kate, Rossi shot Adriane, and Adriane fired shot.

"EMILY!" I screamed.

Both Kate and Adriane laid dead on the floor.

"Hey, hey, I'm right here with you" she whispered as she wrapped her arms around me. "I've got you."

I sobbed into her when I realized Adrianes shot must have nicked Emily because she was bleeding.

"You're bleeding"

"it's nothing" she blew it off.

"it's a gunshot" I scolded. "its not nothing"

"My god do you always have to be a smart ass?" she smirked as she tried to hide her tears.

"Do you always have to be a hero?" I teased back. "you don't need to face everything on your own Emily. Especially not with me around."

She leaned down and kissed me.

"EMS is on the way, everything's gonna be ok."

Right as she said that, my vision started to go blurry.

"I'm tired" I whispered.

"Y/n, stop it. You stay awake. Do you understand?" she yelled. "Stay awake, just hold on baby."

"I love you." were the last words that left my mouth before the world went black.
