Jaemin's POV
"Jaeminie! You're home! How was your trip?" a lady, wearing an apron walked out the kitchen.
Who the hell is this lady and what has she done to mom?
"Is Jaemin home?" now, a guy walked out the kitchen with excitement.
When did this guy get all lovey dovey?
Jaemin was truly confused. He has never went home to a happy family waiting to welcome him.
"Mom? Dad? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be on one of your trips?" Jaemin uttered in surprise.
"We took a day off. We would've picked you up at the airport but we didn't really know which airport you were at and you weren't answering your phone," his dad replied calmly.
"Well, yeah. I was on a plane,"
"How did you get here? How you eaten? Did you make new friends in US?" his mom asked.
"Wait, what is happening here? Why are yall behaving like normal parents do?" Jaemin could no longer keep up with his parents' act.
"Jaemin, son, look. We get that we haven't been the best parents lately. But we want to change. We want to be more involved in your life," she sighed.
Yeah right!
"We want to be there for you from now on," his dad chipped in and something about the way he said it flicked a switch in Jaemin's head.
"I don't know what has got into the two of you but you're the last person I need in my life. Why don't you go on with your own life's as you've always done. One day isn't going to change everything you've done for the past 18 years. Do you even know that I'm already in college now? It wouldn't be a problem because I'm going to move out in a few years,"
Jaemin could see how his words angered his parents especially his father who already held his fist.
"What do you mean? You can always stay here even when you get married. You can get a beautiful wife and start a family right here," his mother voiced out while holding his father back.
"How many times do I have to tell you? I'm gay. I'm never getting a wife. And just so you know I have a boyfriend. I don't need you," Jaemin yelled before turning his heels and leaving the house.
Urghh! I hate my parents! Why did they even have me?

"Jaemin!" Jeno squealed and hugged the boy as soon as he saw him at the doorstep.
"I'm so happy that you're back," Jeno said, slightly pulling back to look at his boyfriend.
"I'm happy to be back. You have no idea how much I missed you," Jaemin replied, leaning in for a kiss.
The kiss continued on as Jeno lead Jaemin to his bedroom. His parents weren't home so Jeno didn't have to worry about that. Sure, his parents knew about their relationship but no parents would be happy seeing their children making out.
"How was the States?" Jeno asked, once they were both lying on the bed out of breath.
"It was fine. Kinda boring without you. I was like a fifth wheel,"
"Good thing you're back then. I can have you all to myself. Let's make them totally jealous," Jeno played with Jaemin's hair.
"Yea... Let's do that," Jaemin replied but Jeno could sense his distress.
"Hey... What's wrong? Do you not want that?"
"No, I mean of course I want that. I'm all for PDA. It's just my parents. They're acting weird,"
"What do you mean?" Jeno asked, sitting up and his lover followed.
Jaemin spent the rest of the day opening up about his life to Jeno. His parents, how his father used to abuse because he wasn't 'strong enough', his childhood, how he spent most evenings curled up in bed waiting for his parents to return, everything. He told him things that he had never talked about before. It was scary and relieving at the same time. Not knowing how the other was going to react.
Perhaps Jeno sense Jaemin's resistance because he held his boyfriend's hand the whole time. Whenever he felt Jaemin tearing up, Jeno would immediately peck his lips. It helped Jaemin forget about the pain briefly but the still ended up crying. Jeno pulled him closer in his arms and soothed him.
"When you texted that you were back, I was excited because I thought I was getting laid," Jeno broke the silence once he knew Jaemin had stopped crying. Jaemin chuckled.
"But this is a lot better. We did get intimate, just emotionally instead of physically,"
"You're right. I have never opened up to anyone. Only you, Jeno. The only one I love," Jaemin was facing his boyfriend now.
"I love you too,"

Meanwhile, Mark was on his phone happily texting someone. He was too focused on receiving a reply that he didn't realize his brother had returned. Chenle on the other hand, turned a blind eye. He walked straight to his bedroom.
"What's up with him?" Mark asked his parents who seemed just as clueless.
"I don't know. Go talk to him," his parents encouraged.
"Hey, Chenle. How was your trip? Did you make new friends? Oh right, did you guys win?" Mark asked, walking into Chenle's bedroom.
"What do you care?"
"Of course I care if my little brother is making me proud,"
"Well, you certainly aren't," Chenle spitted out and Mark's smile fade.
"Where is this coming from? Did I do something?"
"Don't pretend. I know all about your secret relationship," Chenle replied and Mark became nervous.
"Uhh.. what are you talking about?"
"I'm not mad. I know why you kept it from me. It's him, isn't it?" Mark couldn't deny it further. He gave a defeated nod.
As soon as he left Chenle's bedroom, he immediately sent a text to his most recent chat.
'We have to meet. Now.'

"Hey, babe? You wanted to meet 'now'. Missed me too much huh?" Haechan teased, seeing Mark pull up on the driveway at their favourite cafe.
"What did you do?"
"What do you mean? I was just waiting here for you,"
"How does Chenle know about us?" Mark was furious. It was the first time Haechan saw him like that.
"Ohh, that. Uhh... I might have accidently posted a picture a of us on my main account,"
"What? Why would you do that without asking me first?" Haechan held onto Mark's hand to try to calm him down but it wasn't working.
"Mark, calm down. You're scaring me. I didn't think that it was a big deal," Haechan managed to utter.
"You didn't think it was a big deal. Chenle hates you. He would hate me too now that he knows that we're dating,"
"What about you? Do you hate me too?" Haechan was tearing up by now.
"I-I... Haechan..." Mark finally realized how his words stabbed.
"No, I get it. I was supposed to be your little secret. You can't have a secret ruin a family, right?" the smaller turned his back to his lover and was about to leave.
"That's not what I meant. Haechan, you're not just a secret," Mark was the one holding onto the other's hand now.
"But I'm not as important as your brother either," Mark couldn't deny it. He has always put family above anything else. Almost like Dominic Toretto.
"Go on. Tell him we broke up so he wouldn't have to worry about me 'corrupting' you," Haechan utter his last words before leaving.
"At least let me drive you home!"
"Don't bother!"
