Mark came back home angry that night. Angry at himself. Angry at the fact that he had to fall for the one person he never should've met. Angry at the fate that brought them together.
"What happened?" Chenle asked his brother who was currently removing his coat with such aggression that Chenle felt sorry for the coat.
"Nothing,"
"Come on. It's obvious that you're mad. Just tell me what it is. Maybe I can help,"
"You've helped enough," Mark spitted out and Chenle looked offended.
"What do you mean? What did I do?"
"Why are you being nice to me? I thought you hated me now," Mark asked, confused about the younger's change of behavior.
"Why would I hate you?" now, Chenle was the one confused.
"Because of... Haechan?" Mark asked carefully, not sure how his brother would react for bringing up that name.
"I hated Haechan. I agree. But that has nothing to do with you. You guys aren't the same person-,"
"Wait! 'Hated'? As in past tense? So you don't hate him anymore?"
"Well... it was a long time ago. And it was just a petty children's feud. It doesn't make sense to hold a grudge anymore," Chenle replied nonchalantly although it was his first time accepting that out loud.
"Then why were you mad when you found out about us?"
"I was mad that you kept it from me. I thought we were close. I told you about Jisung. Plus I wasn't even that mad. I was just hungry earlier,"
Mark took a deep breath before saying, "Chenle, I'm the dumbest person in the world,"
"That's a widely known fact but tell me what you did," Chenle chuckled.
"I might have just lost the best thing that ever happened to me,"

Ryujin was hanging out at Yeji's room.
"Hey, how come you're not busy on Sundays anymore?" Ryujin asked, out of the blue.
"Cause I used to go to church with my on Sundays," Yeji replied, turning away from her desk to look at the girl.
"Why don't you go with her anymore?"
"Cause I never believed in that from the beginning. She forced me to go with her,"
"So she doesn't force you anymore?"
"Yup! I stood up to her one day and she doesn't bother arguing with me anymore," Yeji exclaimed proudly.
"That's my girl,"
"Besides, I'm already on the devil's side," Yeji replied teasingly, standing up.
"Who's the devil here exactly?" Ryujin asked, approaching Yeji at her desk slowly.
"I don't know... maybe the next door neighbor,"
Yeji knew Ryujin was jealous because her next door neighbor is not only attractive but also has a very similar personality to Ryujin's. They met once and Ryujin immediately caught on that the girl was attracted to Yeji. From the smirks to the eye contact to the sudden change in behavior.
"That's not funny," Ryujin said, walking up to her girlfriend, pushing her stuff onto the floor, picking her up and sitting her down on the desk.
Yeji was pleasantly surprised as she raised her eyebrows but the glow in her eye betrayed that she even more excited now.
