Chapter 15

Two weeks before the competition in the States, We Innovaite announced that they were pulling out from the competition. They weren't so enthusiastic about it to begin with because there was a conflict among the team members. However, they used the excuse that they were busy with school and other commitments.

Right now, Ecofy is preparing for their final presentation. As the only team representing their university, the pressure is higher.

Jisung's POV

Never would've thought I'll be participating in a competition as big as this on my first year.

"Jisung, focus!" Chenle said when he saw the boy daydreaming.

"Huh? What did you say?"

"I asked how you would like to present the statistics?"

Statistics? Oh the statistics!

"What if we demonstrate it in a short survey minutes before our presentation. The judges could relate to it that way," Jisung thought on his feet.

"What kinda survey?" 

"Like a survey regarding the preference of eco-friendly items over normal ones and maybe whether or not people are aware about them," 

"That's a pretty good idea. You're actually pretty smart," Chenle complimented while patting Jisung's head.

"What do you mean 'actually'? I'm smart okay. Maybe a bit slow but still intelligent," the taller pouted.

"There, there. My Jisungie is smart," Chenle comforted bringing Jisung's head to his chest.

"'My Jisungie'? I like that," Jisung replied as his face brightened up to which the other blushed.

Meanwhile, Yeji and Ryujin were managing the store. They were told that they have to collect data for another two weeks before the presentation in US. Since the actual business is going to run in the home country anyway, the US Eco Thinkers committee didn't require them to open up their store in the States.

"Hey, who do you think are the other team from Korea?" Yeji asked.

"I heard they're from Korea University," Ryujin answered.

"Like The Korea University? Aren't they really good at accounting courses?"

"Yup. But don't worry, we're good too you know"

"Yea I know,"

"Woah, your confidence. Yeji, you're not humble anymore. I'm so proud of you," Ryujin said surprised.

"I guess you're rubbing off on me..." Yeji said but immediately regretted it when she saw the other looking at her confused.

"I mean... in a good way, not in a sexual way at all," Yeji covered her face with her hands.

Ryujin chuckled at the girls cute antic.

"I know what you mean. I'm happy you feel that way," Ryujin reached out to hold Yeji's hand but the latter retracted her hands.

Ryujin was confused. She thought they had passed that stage by now but maybe she was wrong.

"Sorry. I thought you wouldn't mind," Ryujin said looking at the ground.

"No, no... it's just that... I'm not used to this yet," Yeji said apologetically.

"It's okay I understand," Ryujin didn't know what else to say. For a girl who always has something to say, Yeji sure makes her speechless many times.
