Chapter 2: Part I

[Valorant Break room]
     "I didn't ask you to knock her out!" Sage scolds the three of them.
     " Well, she's here right? It's all fine." Chamber says with a little laugh.
     "Who's here?" Viper asks.
     " A new recruit." Brimstone replies.
     "You didn't tell me any-" Yoru cuts her off before she can finish.
      "Let's go meet her. Is she cute?" Yoru questions.
      " I think only sage should go for now. And you know it's against the rules Yoru! You left dating in your old life. "
        "Yeah Viper, you're the boss got it." Yoru rolls his eyes
[Zara/ You]
     I woke up in a cold room, once again. I'm starting to get used to it. I'm still scared, though. I don't know what's going to happen and where I'm gonna go. I don't know if I'm going to die or not. All I do know is that these people tied me onto this bed so I wouldn't escape again. Maybe I can gain their trust and escape? I'm not sure if that'll work but it's worth a try. I keep thinking to myself until that woman walks in again. What's her name? Oh yeah, sage.

{Conversation between the two}
      "Hello, Zara. Please trust me. We are not here to hurt you. I apologize for how those 3 brought you here."
      "Why do you know my name? And what do you want from me? Why am I here?"
       "You have a lot of questions. We know your name because our professional spy, cypher, tracked you down. We don't want anything from you. We want to give you a job, a very special one. We are against kingdom. We know what they did to your home. We want you to help us. You are here to be recruited and use your abilities to the fullest."
        " I see.." I looked down. " I'll do it."
        "No questions? Straight to the point? I think I'll like you. I look forward to working with you. Here are some clothes to change into, for now. I'm sage by the way."
        "I know" I smile.
[Zara/You]
       I wait for her to get me out of these straps. I try to think about how I froze time the last time I did. I was stressed, in need of help, and I was wishing I was out of this place. I try doing it but I just can't. It's like this room is made so I can't use my abilities. I guess I can't trick them now.
      I put on the clothes Sage gave me and walk out of the room. I am greeted by at least 5 people. I guess the two/ three mains bosses are Sage, Viper, and Brim. They make me sign a contract stating that I will not work for kingdom and blah blah. They try to see what my abilities can do and I try to show them but it's hard. I'm only 17.
       At 10 p.m. we all sit at a table together. I guess this is like a dinner? I miss having dinner with my family. My mom would make my favorite dishes when I was having a bad day. Even thought our city was being invaded by a company after our radianite, she still managed to make me smile. I'm deep in thought that I forget that a bunch of people are sitting next to me waiting for someone to say something. The silence is long until sage introduces me, " Okay guys, as you know, there's a new face in the room, her name is Zara, please be nice and help her find her way around the place, okay? And I'm talking to you, Chamber."
     A few people introduce themselves to me. Their names were, Jett, Skye, and Raze. They were really nice to me and said they were going to help me train. I see the man who knocked me out sitting across from sage and the other two sitting next to him. I think his name was.., Chamber?
                                        After Dinner
"Tomorrow do you guys want to train together?" Jett asks.
"Sure" both Raze and Skye say.
"What about you, Zara?"
"Sure" I say.
  "Soooo, can you tell us about yourself?" Raze asks.
  "Let her go to bed it's been a long day for her. Night, Zara!"
    They all say their good nights and I head into my room. I immediately take off my sweater. I look inside my bag and try to decide what I'll wear to sleep until I hear a knock on the door. I didn't answer because I thought they would leave but the dude who knocked me out earlier opens the door on me changing.
     "Listen- I just wanted to say, I'm sorry that I knocked you out earlier. Sage didn't tell me to apologize and I am sooo sorry." Chamber says.
     " It's fine." I reply completely forgetting about my shirt.
     He walks in fully and looks at me. His face looks like he's in total shock. He quickly covers his eyes, apologizes, and closes the door. I laugh a little.
      "He's kind of...cute?" I say to myself mindlessly. What am I even talking about? I decide to wear a baggy white shirt that I used to wear when my mom was taking me to meet her boss. She always felt better when I was there to walk her back home, it made her feel safe. As soon as I finish changing I leave the room and look for Chamber.
