Chapter 3: Part II

     I woke up the next day feeling a little better. I promised Skye I'd help her with her training. I got ready and saw a note under my pillow it read, "Meet me at the Market." I thought about it and came to the conclusion that it must not be too important if they couldn't tell me in person.
     I got ready for the day and went on my way. Nothing bad really happened today, just a bunch of training and stuff. Brimstone also gave me paper work to fill out and that took like an hour. I planned on going somewhere at night. I felt like I needed a small break for just a night. It would be fine since my birthday is tomorrow.
After helping Jett, Chamber and I went to go talk outside. It was around 8 P.M and we had already finished our conversation. I left back to my room and he stayed outside. I was getting ready to go somewhere when he stops me in the hallway.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going to the store, I'll be back in a bit." I replied.
Chamber begged, "Can I come with you? It gets bored just waiting for something interesting to happen is starting to get- uninteresting?"
"Uhh.."
"It's fine if you say no."
"No, it's fine you can come with me."
      We make our way to the busier part of the district. I wasn't sure where we were going but I knew that I deserved a small party.
"Where are we going, Madame?"
"Have any suggestions?"
"We could go to a mini cafe that's nearby, there's also a club near it. I don't think you'd want to go-"
"Lead me there." I said.
"Are you sure? Aren't you only 17?"
"Yes.. but by the time we get there it'll be 12 and I'll be 18. I can enter the club, I just can't drink!"
      He started to lead the way , and by the time we got there it it was 11:49 P.M. The lights were glowing, people were dancing, it all get so surreal. I was surprised that Kingdom didn't shut it down yet.I could feel my heart beating faster, I had never been to a club. Nothing was going to stop me tonight, I was going to have fun.
      As we enter the club we are greeted by two security guards with masks on. At the corner of my eye, I can see people dancing and taking, I already know what I'm going to do first. I start walking to the bar area to see what nonalcoholic drinks I could get. Chamber stops me midway and says, "Where do do think you're going ?"
I quickly think of an excuse and say, " I'm just thirsty."
  "I'll come with you. I was ordered to keep you safe and watch you for the night. Or at least that's what Brimstone said."
"Just sit down in that corner, Vincente, I'll be back quick. Would you like something to drink?" Chamber told me he wasn't thirsty and went to go sit down on the burgundy couch that was in the corner. I didn't actually think he would sit in the corner. On my way to get a drink, I meet a guy. He looked about my age and he said, "Hey there." With a small smirk on his face. He looks trustful so I think I'll trust him for the night.

[Chamber/Vincente]
      I watch Zara and who she talks to. I informed Brimstone that we were going to the store, not the club, and he told me to keep an eye on her. She IS a grown woman, she can handle herself. As I'm thinking to myself, I see a man approach her. They are both laughing and are ordering their drinks together. I don't have any feelings for her but, I have to admit, watching this makes me feel a little jealous.  I cant let my feelings get in the way. I just have to watch and make sure she doesn't drink alcohol.

[Conversation between Zara and the Man]
    "Where you from?"
    "I'm from a different district. What's your name?"
    "Robert. Would you like something to drink?"
    "Sure."
    "Can I have two beers?"
     "Drink up, Zara"

[Zara/You]
      Robert hands me a beer but I hesitate to take it. I shouldn't be drinking but I'd feel bad if I didn't, he got me a drink and paid for it. For a minute, I think about what I should do and decide to just take a little sip. A little wouldn't hurt me. If Chamber found out I don't think he'd let me leave the building ever! He'd tell Brimstone, Sage, and Viper. They'd all have someone go with me when I leave. I don't know why it's so important? I'm 18 now, I can take care of myself.

[Chamber/ Vincente]
      I had been playing Crafters Mine when I forgot about Zara. It was already 2 AM. I go look for Zara when I find her laying on that man's shoulder. I explain to him that I'm taking her back to her house but he insists on doing it himself.
        After a while I manage to take her back. We walk on the streets and her head is laying on my shoulder. I guess she can't handle alcohol well.
  "Vincenteeeeee"
  "Yes?"
   "You're soo prettyyyyy"
    I stay silent and help her walk back.
   "Vincente?"
   "Hm?"
    "Can you carry me? My legs are getting...tired."
    "No. You can walk."
     I watch her take her steps. She starts to slow down a little. She rubs her eyes and pauses in the middle of the alley. Is she sleeping? I call her name twice and she doesn't make a sound. She looks cold so I put my navy blue jacket over her. I tap her shoulder a bit and it's like she's sound asleep.  I quickly lift her up before anybody sees it and reports something suspicious.
      We finally made it to the door. I rang the bell just for Omen to open it. He didn't question the sleeping girl I was carrying, or why she had my jacket on. He just said good night and let us be on our way.
       Her room was at the end of the hallway while mine was closer to the kitchen. I put her on my bed and covered her up with a blanket.
