"DANGEROUS WOMAN"
HEARING THE sounds from the news always used to succeed in making me sick to the stomach. The screams, the cries, and whaling of the people who were featured in major accidents and catastrophes.
There are even times where some of them are harsh and horrifying on a whole nother level, like that school in japan that got destroyed due to an explosion, hundreds of kids died.
"We are live at Karasuno high school where an explosion occurred—"
"PLEASE PLEASE...MY DAUGHTER IS IN THERE!"
"MY KIDS!!! FIND MY KIDS OH MY GOD—"
"MY SON PLEASE GET MY SON! HE'S ONLY 13 YEARS OLD, HE'S IN THERE! HE'S A 1ST YEAR STUDENT!"
"The cause of the explosion is yet to be known while there are still dozens of students trapped inside, if this goes on then, sure enough, the buildings will collapse!"
"MY BABY! WHERE'S MY CHILD!! FUCKING HELP THEM!"
"THE BUILDING IS COLLAPSING! GETAWAY—"
Crime and death rates over the world increased rapidly, it felt like the world was coming to its end by having the entire human race murder each other.
People also began losing trust in the police and the government, it's not like they were trustworthy in the first place but they were already reaching their last straws.
There is also news from overseas that doesn't fail to impress me, like that time when the president of Singapore was murdered out of nowhere during a presidential conference, headshot...the bullet flew right in his forehead swift as an arrow.
"The swat is now on the search for the assailant of the president who was shot right in the head as he delivered his speech for the conference. The attendees have also fled the area while dozens of journalists flocked the place demanding answers regarding the president's death—"
There was even a time when I had to write and broadcast the story of a 6-year-old boy who was found dead floating on The River Seine, I was the one who found him...and I had to show him to the world, live.
"I found a young boy, based on his size I can estimate him to be around 4 to 7 years old, he was already dead the moment I found him. So far, we can theorize that the cause of death was strangling. His entire head was tightly wrapped in a plastic bag which left dark red and purple marks on his neck—"
A case that earned me millions, a story that made my body run cold as I typed in word afterword, a story that thousands of people demanded answers from, a case that ran cold and was eventually forgotten. In the end, no justice was served.
"To whoever killed my baby boy, why...what did a 6-year-old boy do to you? WHAT MADE YOU KILL A CHILD—"
It was the same for all the other stories I wrote that involved crime, I worked with dozens of detectives to help solve their cases but in the end, we could only solve 7% of all the cases I assisted.
