"THE TRUTH SHALL SET HER FREE"
LISA LOOKED AT JENNIE with her eyebrows raised and concern filled her eyes, this was the first time she had ever seen her cry in such visible pain.
Jennie's eyes didn't leave the table filled with papers from Lisa's identity folder, every photo and information about her was scattered on the table which Lisa immediately caught notice of.
Seeing how Jennie was just staring at it as she cried a river of tears, Lisa turned her gaze to the table where she almost didn't recognize the photo of her. The photo that was first taken of her the moment she debuted as the 359th assassin, the photo was almost about to fade completely from her memory but seeing it again, beside Jennie at that made Lisa's face paled that her lips immediately went white and almost purple that she ended up falling back on the floor as she looked at Jennie in horror.
Her breathing went very fast was she was hardly gasping for air, her hands began shaking as she covered her ears when voices in her head began to emerge.
The voices of the people she killed going crazy and fearing their lives as she approached them and gave them the signal that they were about to be sent to their deaths.
"NO! PLEASE NO—"
"WHYY...WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!"
"PLEASE DON'T KILL ME..."
"DON'T COME ANY CLOSER—"
"MY BABY—"
"NOT MY SON—"
I didn't know.
I didn't know i wasn't supposed to do that.
I didn't know what it meant.
I was only asked to do so.
"I didn't know..." hearing those words from Lisa made Jennie frown and turn her gaze at her as her tears continued on flowing down her cheeks.
Lisa was crawled up into a ball in the corner of the library, she was rocking herself back in forth with her eyes closed shut and both her hands trying to cover her ears with as much force as she could but it appears that she couldn't suppress the sounds terrors that remain vivid in her mind. Tears flooded her face and fear slowly began taking over her.
"I didn't know...i—i didn't know, i didn't know, i didn't know...they told me to, they asked me to—" she muttered continuously.
The sight of the latter made Jennie slowly get up and approached the scared girl with caution and watched her continue on muttering stuff to herself about how sorry she was, how she didn't know, how scared she was of everything.
Lisa was already whining to herself, through every whine that left her mouth it expressed and showed the distress and anguish she was feeling, Lisa was no different from Jennie who's shocked by her discovery. "I'm sorry...I'm sorry...please, forgive me. I didn't know, please i was scareddd"
Pity, fear, anger, Jennie was feeling a lot of things. She didn't know whether Lisa was only putting on a show or if she's really in distress right now. She wanted to understand her, but the fear of her actually losing her sanity and proceeding to kill her still lingered her mind.
