Sanitys Perspective:
I felt something wet and slobbery go up and down my face. I opened my eyes to see Ravens tongue coming at me. I held back a giggle as she continued to lick my face. When she saw I was up she whined and trotted out of view. I lifted my head in time to see her jump off the couch. I sat up and watched as she trotted in the direction of the door. Halfway there, she stopped and looked back at me. When she saw I wasn’t following her she trotted back to me and yelped at me. She had a quiet, cute, little bark. “Shhhhhh” I whispered to her as I scooped her up and stood. I tiptoed as quietly as possible to the door. Just as I reached out for the door knob I heard fabric rustling.
“Sanity?” I turned around to see an outline of a guy sitting up on one of the couches.
“Uhmmm, yeah?” I whispered back.
“What are you doing up?” He turned his head to the clock and turned back to face my direction. “Its four in the morning.” The voice sounded a lot like Franks.
“Shhhhh……” I hissed “I’m taking Raven outside, she has to go potty.”
“I’ll come with you” he said standing up. “You never know who’s out there, especially in Chicago.” He walked over to me.
“I don’t need a body guard.” I hissed as he reached me.
“In this city you do”
“Uhm I don’t think so” I said walking out into the hallway
“Okay, but how bout company, you know, one that can actually talk back” he said following me out and shutting the door.
“Well, when you put it that way” I said as my eyes adjusted to the hallways bright lights.
“What were you doing up” I asked him, not looking at him
“I couldn’t sleep” he yawned.
I looked at him, the bright lights allowed me to get a better look at him. I laughed super hard. He had major bed head, his hair was standing up and ever direction, his eyes were red and he had circles under them. He looked extremely funny. He looked at me in confusion, which only made me laugh harder. He stared at me for a few seconds until he eventually joined me. We heard a door open behind us and we both turned to it. Standing in the door way was a very unhappy middle aged woman.
“Would you mind keeping it down, im trying to sleep” she sneered. She slammed the door shut before we even got a chance to reply. We both turned to each other and chuckled quietly. We reached the elevator within minutes. As I reached my hand out to push the button Frank slightly slapped it away.
“What?” I asked raising my eyebrow at him.
“I always pushed the button” He said seriously. “it’s a little tradition of mine.“ As he reached out for it, I moved my hands toward it really fast and pushed the button.
