n. this is fluff/soft without plot, so it is short. :) i figured that after releasing some angst and smut, i should write fengqing just being a loving couple they are.
THIS DOES NOT HAVE SURPRISE DEATH OR SOME SHIT I PROMISE YOU.

The tea hadn't brewed properly yet. Nor did the baked goods cool down for it not to burn someone's tongue.
Aggrieved, Mu Qing continues on to the light soup instead. Stirring it languidly as he hums a tune from far away back to the old centuries that no one born after was able to recognize.
He ought to not add much seasoning. The natural taste of vegetables was still a little better than a soup just tasting like seasonings. Perhaps, a bit of spices and salt.
He stirs. Stirs more before finally just letting it simmer in peace as he focuses his attention on the tea again. He had bought two kinds; one his favourite, and the other his beloved clearly adores.
The sun had began to set. The beautiful glow of it illuminating around the heavenly capital. Wreathing with a familiar hue of gold that was usually embillished by a specific god known to most if not all.
There's many things that reminds him of the golden colour. The merits, gold foils, flames, the sky in the evening, the sunsets and sunrises, and his husband.
Feng Xin likes to be adorned in gold. It doesn't matter if those were made from real gold or not, as long as it's akin to the colour of it.
It suits him, Mu Qing muses. Especially as the sun rises in the east part of the world, the beautiful shade of yellow was always what makes both the palace of Nan Yang and Tai Hua look extremely ethereal.
A clear manifestation of the divine gods owning it even as they don't usually live in their palaces anymore.
Where the sun sets in the west, and the southern gods living in the palace of Xuan Zhen, Mu Qing had taken the liberty to pull the southeastern god in the liberty to watch the sunset.
Or, Feng Xin watching the sunset and Mu Qing watching him.
The smile he would wear, the way those golden eyes would twinkle with the bright sun reflecting on it. The times he would turn around and the shine would glow from behind him. Beaming, and filled with upmost joy.
It makes Mu Qing think he was not a god himself. Makes him think he's facing such beautiful, powerful god that was not his husband as though he wasn't a powerful god himself.
Everytime, he makes sure he had worshipped every part of the said god. Be it in the privacy of their chambers or just like this.
Baking produce and brewing tea to give.
He senses before he sees. Sensing the presence of another man, clearly not a middle official as the figure of a god wielding a bloody bow in hand comes in view.
Feng Xin stops upon seeing his husband in the kitchen. Eyes wide in righteous surprise as he watches the man move with a spatula in hand.
"Qing'er?" He calls quietly, uncertain if this was some shit move his own middle officials did just to get a reaction. He steps forward, "Qing'er?"
