Feng Xin takes a second to look around. To try and evaluate his surroundings for him to understand where in the corner of earth he is.

Or even what day it is.

He had waken up beside a water fall. The stream of river clear and crystal blue. There were no birds chirping, or the brushing of bushes to indicate there's any animals here - nearby atleast.

Lifting up a hand, he gets ready to ask questions in whatever array he first enters. Only a bit perturbed to find that he couldn't connect to any array, nor could he even feel a speck of his spiritual energy and meridians.

His robes were fine. Weapon here, quiver full. Armor gone, the only thing that made him even more alert. Precarious, he makes his way closer toward the river. Dipping one arrow in the water, and impetuously walking back upon seeing the metal arrow head melt.

That would've been his hand if he hadn't dared check the water.

Carefully, walks further deeper into the forest to look for anything. A sign, a loophole, any living soul. Be it a beast he needed to fight or a worm.

Nothing. He retreats back near the water falls and looks up. Boulders on either side, he wonders if there's something up the rocky mountain or even behind the falls.

He doesn't have much, best to be careful lest he'll be here for longer than he hoped. He fixes his long bow on his back before cracking his knuckles and hands. Getting ready to climb those rocks, and also avoiding any splash from the water falls as much as possible.

One foot on a flat rock, he checks if it's sturdy enough. He grabs onto a higher one, then throws one arm over another as he pulls himself up. Flinching with a hiss at the drop that spat on his hand, he should've worn gloves. Regardless, he ignores that and continues forth. With a determination and hope that he could leave this place sooner.

Or atleast before dawn.

Reaching up for the last rock, he uses his own leg as leverage to bounce himself up. Throwing his whole body onto the left boulder and breaths a sigh of relief he hadn't fell.

He stands and turns.

Utter disappointment, it was a bed of ocean. Reaching from miles and miles away. No land to be seen and he clenches his jaw in frustration.

Just where was he?

This wasn't in the south. He had travelled so much in the eight hundred years before the third ascension of the current emperor in the South to learn even the small cracks of the land. Nor was this even the east-south or west-south.

He jumps back down swiftly. Gracefully as he looks down for more things he could explore.

The river was too wide for him to just jump athwart. No spiritual power to help him leap higher either. If he were to land in the water...

He'd most likely burn into nothing but goo.

Glancing at the falls, he doesn't bother sighing in annoyance when the powerful fall of the water hid what could have been an exit behind.
