The heavens have bloomed once more.

They regained their strength. However, whilst it wasn't the strongest they've been as the martial god of the three realms had been - quite embarrassingly and traumatizingly - defeated by no other than his supposed to be successor, it also wasn't their weakest.

The gods and middle court officials alike had learned from their previous chaos that unity and understanding is as strong as the heavens and hell combined, in comparison to blatant plasticity and obvious resent masked by poorly created masks.

Regardless, the upper court made sure everyone knows the heavens above would come to their rescue once they've asked for help.

If ever the martial gods ever swallows their ego to even dare think of asking for one.

There was no emperor. Xie Lian refused, and as depressing as that refusal was, it was understandable as well.

After being a grand crown prince from a prosperous and famous kingdom over nine hundred years ago, to being the youngest to ever ascend, to seeing his kingdom fall into nothing - not even robbles -, to ascending for the third time only to see the heaven fall and be transformed to a stupidly gaudly statue, to defeating the heavenly emperor that turned out to be the first and strongest ghost king that ruined his kingdom, and to being in love with another ghost king that was actually the child he had once saved before?

Right, Xie Lian had experienced some things beyond heaven and hell, being a heavenly emperor was truly not even going to be the last of his wishes.

And that was quite understandable, so as is, the throne had been as empty as the Ship Sinking Black Water's stomach for quite some time. Surprisingly, no one had even dared to ask if they could be one. Not even those greedy assholes that the major gods pointedly ignores.

The throne was most likely going to be in that way for decades if not centuries. Or so they thought.

The heavens had actually turned to Ling Wen as the second option. The goddess also denied, and some gods had been even more wary of her after finding out she had been an ally of Bai Wuxiang.

Then turned to Pei Ming, and as much of a womanizer as the northern deity could be, he was not much wiser. He had and has some advices here and there, but that was the extent of it.

The fourth option was Mu Qing. It was not bewildering. The silverette refused even without hearing the question. Saying that he could rule and lead the three realms without batting an eye, but could not be bothered enough to actually do it.
