Tired is not the right word to describe the tedious exhaustion Mu Qing's feeling right at the moment. It's not even near the desired description.
Moments like these are inevitable. God or not, ghost or not, mortal or not. It's something almost everyone experiences in spite of their inhumane powers or humane will and preservance.
Mentally and emotionally drained. He's strong, physically, but there are at times where he questions if he could somehow generate some of his physical strength to boost his mentality - because honestly, he's got enough to spare two. However, that is already impossible with it only being a thought.
One cannot be strong physically then push that power to be your mental's strength.
He's exhausted.
Of what?
Of everything.
The gods, the prayers he's recieving, the worshippers of said gods, the three realms, the ghosts lurking about the mortal world looking for some nonsense to trouble the heavens, the mortals themselves, the wealth, the poor, the laughter of everyone, the depression of everyone - just about everything. Literally.
Now, that does not mean Mu Qing does not appreciate those. Getting exhausted about them does not mean he doesn't want to wake up hearing prayers from mortals flying through the heavens. Getting tired of them does not mean he wants to wake up with utter silence in the heavens. No souls to be found and just him alone.
He adores solitude, that does not mean he wants his life to be completely in it.
However, now, he just wants to lock himself up in his chambers. Sleep, read, or meditate, whatever it is he could do without having someone ruining it before he could actually enjoy his alone time.
That is not the case. That will never be the case for him.
Someone, someone always comes barging in his palace without his permission - and although he despises people trespassing in his territory, he could not help but just let that someone stay for how long they'd wish.
"What is it you want now?" He asks. Voice disgustingly low and without pride. "Can't you see I'm busy? If you need something, you can go to Ling Wen ZhenJun or Dianxia."
Feng Xin blinks innocently. Hands behind him as he shrugs and steps inside the study he does not own anyway. Despite knowing the latter would only get infuriated if not more. "I'm just here to drop something off. I won't be long."
"Then place it on the table." Mu Qing sits on his daybed just infront of the table where his zhanmadao lies perfectly out in the open. "And leave." He adds in spite of himself.
"Are you okay?" The archer, inconspicuously observing the other's figure, asks quietly. "Do you need something?"
"I need peace and quiet."
