"Hey bro, what's up?" tanong ko kay Marius ng tumawag siya sa akin pagkatapos kong makaalis ng bahay. It's been three years since he came here and tried to find his precious mate after beating him to death when we were still in college.

Who could have thought that his mate would be Avery.

Nalaman ko lang ito matapos sabihin sa akin ni Avery na Marius Sandoval ang pangalan ng fated mate niya. At first I thought he was just joking but when I look at his son, he really does resemble Marius when he was young. Hindi ipinakilala sa akin ni Marius ang kanyang mate because his a possessive bastard way back when we were high school. His family strongly followed and a fanatic of fated mates. Ganoon ang Tito, ang Duke ng Bree at ganoon din siya nito pinalaki. If I didn't know about Marius' bipolarity, I might wanna punch him straight on his face. But I knew he needed medical attention back then and I'm glad he's able to overcome it and fix it.

"Who's your fated alpha?" tanong ko kay Avery noon.

"Marius Sandoval."

Either way, even if he's my best friend's omega, I won't give him back to Marius. I found him. And he's mine.

"I want to ask a favor, dude," sabi niya sa akin.

He's given up looking for Avery, isn't he?

"Yeah, what is it?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"I have a lead about my missing mate," sabi niya sa akin which took me back.

"Oh? You found him?" kinakabahang tanong ko.

"The agency I hired to look at him has finally found him. He changed his name from Jade to Avery. And guess what," sabi niya na halatang-halata ang saya sa bosee niya.

"What?" tanong ko habang kinakabahan pa rin.

"I have a son. And he looks exactly like me when I was the same age as him," sagot nito.

Hindi ako nakaimik. Does he know that Avery's living with me now?

"I'm happy for you bro. So nasaan na siya? Kasama mo na ba siya?" tanong ko.

"Muntik na nga akong lumipad pabalik dyan sa Aster kaso wala na raw sa dating bahay niya si Avery. Can you imagine it? One week ako dyan sa bahay mo ngunit hindi ko siya nahanap? Iyon pala ay nagpalit siya ng pangalan. Dude, can you imagine it? I was like a few meter away from him tapos hindi ko man lang alam," sagot niya sa akin.

Shit! He's close. Mabuti na lang pala at hatinggabi kami lumipat ng bahay. Kung hindi, someone might saw us at pwedeng sabihin nito sa inutusan ni Marius na nasa akin sina Avery. I know I'm his best friend and I'm supposed to help him but I'm selfish. I already had my eyes on Avery. And I won't gonna hand him to him.

"So paano ako makakatulong sa iyo?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Can you help me locate him? I trust you bro. Alam kong pag ikaw ang humanap, matutunton mo agad ang mag-ina ko. I'll send you his picture," sabi pa niya.

Sandali akong hindi nakaimik. Marius and I were best friends since diaper time. Higit pa sa magkapatid ang turingan namin sa isa't-isa and we never kept any secret from each other until now.

"Sure. I'll see what I can do but I won't promise either," sagot ko sa kanya.

"I know you'll find my wife and son, bro. I really want to reunite with them. It's been almost six years already. Tapos magbi-birthday pa ang aking anak. I really want to be with them," seryosong sagot niya sa akin.
