At school, Leo, Adam, Chase and Harper stood by their lockers before their first class began. The hallway was buzzing with students as they gathered their belongings, eager to start the day. Harper leaned against her locker, arms crossed, watching her friends.

"Guys, with the dance coming up, I thought you could use a lesson on how to ask a lady out." Leo said with a smirk, turning toward Adam and Chase.

"Oh, great. Do you know a guy who could teach us?" Adam asked.

"Me" Leo replied bluntly. "You're gonna watch me ask out the girl of my dreams; Danielle."

The group glanced across the hallway, spotting a blonde girl sitting on a bench, engrossed on her phone.

"Leo, no offense, but you're not the best at asking out girls." Harper pointed out, smirking.

Leo stared at her in disbelief. "Yes, I am."

Harper raised an eyebrow. "One time you practiced asking someone out on me, and I even said no."

Chase furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "Danielle? Isn't she the girl who uses you as a footstool in math class?"

"Where else is she supposed to put her feet? On the floor?" Leo exclaimed in mock horror. "Open your notebooks, boys, 'cause class is in session."

Harper rolled her eyes as Leo confidently strode toward Danielle, with Adam and Chase trailing behind him.

"This won't end well." Harper muttered under her breath with a smirk.

"Hello, Danielle." Leo greeted, lifting his foot onto the bench in a dramatic gesture. "Do you know how much a polar bear weighs? Enough to break the ice." He then plopped down beside her with a smug grin. "I'm Leo Dooley."

Danielle gave him a blank stare. "Didn't you send me 87 emails?"

Leo nodded, completely unfazed. "Yeah. That was a slow day."

Danielle stood up, grabbing her backpack. "Okay, well, see you later, Lenny."

"It's Leo by the way." Leo corrected, his face falling slightly as she walked away. He then waved enthusiastically.

Chase stepped forward, his lips curling into a teasing grin. "So, Leo, what should I write down in my notebook? I mean other than, 'denied'."

"No, no, no, you can cheat off of me." Adam said, pretending to write something in his book. "I have 'she's not going to the dance with Lenny'."

Before Leo could retort, Bree joined the group, looking frustrated. "Are you guys talking about the dance too?" She groaned, standing next to Harper. "Why is everybody making such a big deal out of this stupid dance?"

Chase raised an eyebrow, giving her a knowing smile. "Nobody's asked you yet, have they?"

"No." Bree huffed. She pointed across the hallway to a guy entering the cafeteria. "I really want to go with that guy. His name is Ethan. We sit next to each other in chemistry. Coincidence? I think not. Chemistry!" She grabbed Harper's shoulders, looking panicked. "What should I do?"
