In the middle of Mission Creek, inside a large brown house, Harper was preparing for a slumber party hosted by Bree.

Clothes were scattered across the carpet as she packed, brushing away stands of hair that fell across her face.

After finishing packing, Harper grabbed her bag, hurried down the stairs, and entered the kitchen where Lyla was enjoying her breakfast with the radio playing in the background.

"Morning, sis." Lyla greeted as Harper grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl and took a bite. "Joining me for breakfast or heading to the Davenports?"

"I'm going to the Davenport's. Bree's having a slumber party, and I promised to help." Harper replied apologetically.

Lyla nodded understandingly. "That's fine."

Harper smiled at her sister, then quickly left, closing the front door behind her. She raced down the steps, making her way to her best friend's house.

Harper entered the Davenport mansion and stopped in the doorway when she saw Adam, Chase and Leo engrossed in a virtual game in the middle of the living room.

"Yes! Totally gonna make it to the final level!" Chase cheered.

The game's defeat sound played, and the boys groaned in disappointment, sinking into the couch

"I just wasted three hours of my life getting to that level. I'm never playing Mental Chaos again." Leo grumbled.

Chase nodded in agreement. "Me neither."

"Me neither." Adam chimed in.

The three of them exchanged a knowing look. "Again!"

Harper rolled her eyes as they jumped up and immediately started playing the game again.

"Hello to you guys too." She muttered as she walked into the living room and set her bag on the couch.

"Leo, will you stop playing that game?" Tasha asked as she entered the living room from the kitchen. "It is nothing but a huge timewaster that is going to rot your brain."

"Ooh, Mental Chaos! I got next!" Mr. Davenport exclaimed as he rushed down the stairs and jumped onto the couch.

Tasha looked at her husband in disbelief. "Donald! I was just telling Leo that he's playing too much."

"Huh, you're telling me. He almost beat my high score." He pointed out.

"I'm just saying, this game is affecting him. Last week he tried to pause me. Twice!" She explained.

"That'd really come in handy." Mr. Davenport joked, but stopped when he saw his wife's annoyed expression. "If it wasn't so wrong." He stood up and turned to Leo. "Okay. Leo, what else are you interested in?"
