Harper slung her bag strap over her shoulder as she walked through the bustling school hallways with Adam and Bree.

The scent of cafeteria food and the low murmur of student conversations filled the air, but her attention was on her friends. She was wearing a white and green striped sweater, ripped jeans and brown lace-up boots, feeling comfortable in her casual outfit, as always.

She often wondered what she did to deserve meeting such amazing people like Adam, Bree and Chase. Her life had been a whirlwind of fun, surprises and a few dangerous moments since they entered it, but it had also been filled with a kind of joy she hadn't known before. The bionic siblings cared deeply for her and always seemed to bring happiness and laughter into her life.

Harper couldn't help but imagine what her world would be like without them, and it was hard to picture a version of her life where they weren't around.

"Oh, check out what I've done with my locker!" Adam insisted proudly. Bree and Harper followed him as he flung open the locker door. Inside, it was a chaotic display of strange and amusing items. "Tah-dah! Here's where I keep my books. Down here I keep random strands of hair I've collected to make fake mustaches and here is where I stockpile old lunches or as I like to call it, my tum-tum-yum-yums."

Harper grimaced. "Ew."

Bree glanced over and saw Leo approaching them with a sour expression, his eyes fixed on a piece of paper in his hand. "Hey, Leo. What's that?"

"My progress report." Leo said, sounding less than thrilled. "I can't believe my science teacher says I'm always late to class."

"You are always late to class." Adam pointed out

"I know that, but I don't need it publicized." Leo responded, looking annoyed

"Then maybe stop being late." Harper suggested, giving him a pointed glare.

The unmistakable sound of sneakers scraping against the floor was heard as Chase hurried over to the group, holding his own report card. "Look at this! An A-minus. I knew my home ec teacher had it out for me."

Harper furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "How did you manage to get an A-minus in Home Economics? That's an easy class."

"Always criticizing my muffins." Chase grumbled under his breath.

"Ha ha! I beat you! I got a D-plus! Plus because I'm better." Adam gloated, waving his report card.

"Adam, the plus is..." Bree trailed off before she stopped herself. "You know what? It's just not even worth it anymore."

Chase gave Adam a knowing nod. "D is not a good grade, but we don't really expect you to get good grades."

Harper shrugged nonchalantly. "Who cares about D's? You still pass high school. Will you get into college with them? Not really but you still finish high school."
